pickI loved this book it was a great holiday read around the pool. Nisha and Sam two wildly different women eventually become unlikely friends after a mix-up at the gym with their bags. Their lives become unexpectantly entwined both blaming each other at first when things fall apart. It was a relatable, fast-paced enjoyable read. I also love the Kama aspect. I would definitely recommend this book and will look for other Jojo Moyes offerings.

pickThis started slow but then I didn‘t want to put it down. The cast of characters are endearing while the story makes you think about walking into someone else‘s shoes and how we should treat each other while what is important in life.

bailedI gave it about 3 hours on audio and it just wasn‘t drawing me in. (Emmie is bored, too!) For those who read it, did it get a lot better? I just found both women‘s stories so bleak and depressing. Oh well! On to other books!
pickWhat a deal I got when I found this book for 50 cents at a library book sale! The story was definitely good one! It certainly tells that money isn‘t everything. There are so many complicated relationships depicted in the story. Character development was good, and I learned to really like many of them. I feel that this novel can easily be adapted into a film or series. I hope one of the movie stations picks it up! This was a very good book.

pickI wasn't sure what I was getting into in the first part of this book. The main characters were not very likeable and their situations were getting increasingly depressing. However, things changed. There is such magic and unifying power in the friendships of middle-aged women. Women who support and encourage each other in the toughest of times. The ending got a bit crazy/super charged with not knowing how it would end up. Overall, a 4 star read!

Real characters, struggling with serous life issues without getting too serious, found family and friends that will follow you into battle and have your back, and a fast paced, heist type story that I couldn‘t put down. so-soI‘m nearly done with the book, and it‘s just ok. There is at least one major plot hole and also just the whole scheme at the end… it‘s just absurd. The first half of the book is good and engaging, I just think the author really loses the plot at the end.

This was a delightful change of pace from my usual reads. I love Me Before You, and the sequels, so I thought I'd give another of Moyes' novels a try. I was a tiny bit thrown by a change of pace just past the halfway mark, but it all evened out and made for an enjoyable read.

pickI don‘t think I can succinctly sum up this book, but I enjoyed it! It‘s a story of two women, a pair of red Christian Louboutin heels, and how one little mistake can set off a chain of events. It‘s also a story of women supporting women! I liked the two MCs, Nisha and Sam, but there‘s also a great supporting cast of female characters.

so-soThis one was middle of the road for me. I really like they way Moyes writes complex characters, but in this circumstance I found myself not liking our two female leads. Made it hard to enjoy. Some of the supporting cast was quite enjoyable. The story was interesting enough to keep me going but ultimately forgettable.
pickI ended up liking this one more than I thought I would half way in. The 2nd half was definitely better than the first and the character development was good.
so-soThere‘s some very fun aspects of this book and the trajectory of the two lead women are enjoyable to ride along. It‘s predictable, little far fetched jumps in plot line, and the ending is a little too perfect. But, it‘s a great way to relax and lose yourself in 2 40+ year old women taking back their lives.
pickI enjoyed the character growth and layers. Even though it is a bit cheesy at times (so much focus on the shoes…) I thought the character flaws were relatable and interesting and the female friendships at the end really shined.
pickThis was so fun! Nisha and Sam had equally interesting plots, which doesn't always happen, and the shenanigans they got into as they tracked down Nisha's shoes were just top notch. so-soThis was a fun chick lit novel about starting over, friendships and hardships. It is about walking in someone else‘s shoes literally and experiencing the other side of life that we have never experienced! I liked the women friendships in this story but overall didn‘t enjoy it as much as her other books especially the second half which dragged out a little for me!
pickI love Jojo Moyes but I tend to gravitate towards her historical fiction more than contemporary. This was no exception. It was an ok story but, to be honest, I didn‘t really care about any of the characters. Of the two mains one was a pretty epic bitch and the other was a doormat. Yes they both changed a bit by the end and became more relatable but still…I just didn‘t care. And the final situation was kind of ridiculous. Just ok overall. 🌟🌟🌟💫

pickThis story reads in the comedic style of a Bridget Jones‘ Diary or The Holiday with lots of wackiness happening. Had it been a serious drama I‘d have taken issue with the two MCs treating two supporting characters undeservedly bad. But I‘m not going to fault it because it‘s all part of the full-circle development of the MCs. Fun read! ↓
picksuch an entertaining audiobook, narrated by Daisy Ridley who absolutely knocked it out of the park. it‘s so much more than just a story about a bag mix-up. Sam and Nisha, our main characters are flawed but still likable and easy to root for. the cast of supporting characters — Jasmine, Andrea, and Alex the dreamboat chef — are wonderful. super satisfying ending too. 5 ⭐️s!!

so-soEasy read but it was hard for me to like the antagonist or to care about her plot. She was just so nasty and rude all the time. Her great redemption comes only after she sleeps with a guy who has been nice to her which totally undercuts the female empowerment of the story.
