This was delightfully cosy & fun to read. I thought the mystery would play a bigger role but this was more a romance than anything else.

I loved this, this book was really entertaining and made me laugh. A perfect for a moment when you want to read something light.

100% stacked this book originally because of that fabulous cover. Gifted to me back in 2022 for a Swoonathon Swap by @Nessavamusic it only took me two years to read it, so not bad! 😂 I really liked the characters and world-building in this one, the group of badass magical sisters - great fun. I did read the next few books in the series, but didn't like them quite as well. It felt like they got more focused on the spice and less focused on ⬇

Very sweet and entertaining story! Mateo's wolf was hilarious. It was very nicely written. This book convinced me to continue the series.

I should preface this with my love of werewolves. I don't know what it is exactly but I just love books with them and this was no exception!

The duo perspective between Mateo and Evie was great as I got to be in both of their shoes throughout the story and read how they fall for each other through their witty dialogue, quirky and nerdy one-liners, their heartfelt conversations, and getting to know each other for a slow burn shifter romance!

A nice light novel, I thought. It'll be fun.

It's a'la Tumblr-driven writing that sets up a projected series with multiple loads of infodumping. I slogged through for a bit but dead stop at Chapter 3 and an explanation of ship hashtags. Multiple loads. Chapter 3. Bail.

In order to eventually review the second book in this series I've pulled this book off #MountTBR.

I really enjoyed this on my drive home, though Mateo‘s inner wolf really drove me nuts.I could have done without him in the story, but the rest was great!

So last night I picked this book on KU specifically because I thought eh ok I might not like it enough to continue to read in the night...OMG did I devour this book! Hilarious and funny and everything I wanted I immediately got the rest and this is a five star and will have to purchase. It is a slow burn but it is worth it so so good!

Catching up on a few reviews. First up is this delightful paranormal romance. I loved Mateo and Evie together. Alpha added another layer of both humor and depth to Mateo‘s character. The Savoie sisters and their various powers were a lot of fun. I‘ll definitely be continuing this series. If you like witches, werewolves and romance, you‘ll probably like this.

I'm fast, but I'm not that fast...

I thought this book was due back to Libby tomorrow, so I was going to binge read it tonight. I'm only 15% into it. I can't even extend the loan because people are waiting for it. Guess I'm buying it. 🤷‍♀️🙈

Overall, I liked this book. I got exhausted by the bombardment of pop culture references, which I already discussed in another post. It was weird to read a book with a witch main character that basically ignored Halloween. They focused more on thanksgiving oddly. Evie is a hex breaker and aspiring comic book artist. Mateo is a cursed werewolf who can‘t shift. I really loved Evie‘s family, so I do plan to continue this series. It‘s fun!

There is just a bit too much pop culture references and Star Wars talk in this book for me. I get that characters can be obsessed with Marvel and Star Wars, but it‘s getting to be too much.

She even mentions getting this delivered from Amazon.. maybe I haven‘t read enough contemporary books/romance to know if this is normal.

Despite very little advanced planning, I managed to get one bingo for #OctoberBookBingo

Overall I enjoyed this. I really liked the Star Wars and comic book references included. Even though this is book 1 in a series, it doesn't have a cliffhanger. The romance was sweet. The sex scenes were quite spicy though, so don't say you weren't warned. I would read more by this author.

A fantastic mix of paranormal and romcom. The characters, both Mateo and Evie, along with all the supporting crew made this a page turning one sitting read.

Evie is exactly what Mateo needs, a hex breaking witch that can help him free his annoying and soon to be dangerous wolf. But there‘s more than a hex on Mateo and there‘s more between him and Evie than either will expect.

I put 50% reading in to this one and I just have to stop trying to like it 😂

Dannnng! I loooved this so much! I didn‘t expect the awesome steamy sex scenes but it was a great surprise. Now, I just need a cold shower to calm down. I keep asking my husband if he could possibly try a little harder to become a werewolf 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have had the best time reading this book! I‘m over half way through it and already can‘t wait to read the second book in the series. This one is funny, sexy, and adventurous all in one. What a breath of fresh air!

Readathon TBR! The #boutofbooks readathon starts tomorrow and lasts for a week, and I'm hoping it will help me kick off my 2020 reading. I'm not thinking I'll get to all of these, but I'm setting a goal to finish at least 3 things this week. #tbr

This was a really fun paranormal romance. Mateo is a werewolf who can't shift and is trying to control his wolf half, and Evie is a witch who breaks hexes and is very into Star Wars and Marvel. They're both really interesting characters, and the book melds these paranormal with modern life really well.

It set up plenty of opportunities for sequels about Evie's sisters that I'm definitely looking forward to reading.
