I Marie-Kondo‘ed by TBR-list. I went through every book and deleted all the ones that didn‘t make me want to read them. I‘m still at 130. But I am very excited about all of them.

My week has been complicated. Here are the five little wins this week:
1. Opened up my Etsy shop with blind book dates - working on the rebrand and getting the word out
2. Loving stickers on Kindle cover
3. Chloe Okoye being a weirdo and making me laugh
4. My son got a honey citrus mint tea for my cough

An amazing read, not just for those looking to tidy up their homes but tidy up their lives. Very heartwarming and inspiring 💗💗💗
A great sequel to a great concept. ^_^
Excited to read this lovely sequel. ^_^
A new bookcase means a chance to rearrange all my books! Love the new look!
I enjoyed her audiobook so why not pick up this cute little companion? I disagree with her ideas on books but I purged a lot of other things with her help … it‘s time for another purge. 😆
I find this book overwhelming, but I still enjoy Marie Kondo‘s approach and perspective.
Of all the books I could finish while waiting outside the laundromat. I respect and want to put into practice the meat of the advice, but some of the personification of inanimate objects got a little more mystical than I strictly appreciate, and I'm sure I'll never understand her folding methods. #nonfiction #tidying
With only one child still living at home, this summer we sold our house of 23 years and bought a much smaller condo. What was once 4 bookshelves of my lovely books has been painstakingly whittled down to just one (albeit packed) bookshelf. Now that we‘re settled, I‘m hoping to get back to reading again and back to Litsy! 💕📚
So my library is having a Zoom even November 3. It‘s all about the method of decluttering your home and keeping only what brings you joy. If you want to sign up you can head on over to my library‘s website! It‘s on Zoom but no one will see you, the audience will not be visible until probably the Q&A just FYI.

I enjoy this book. Please admire my pink flamingo bookmark because it is fabulous. 🙂
I was tidying up by my side of the bed, and I found some souvenirs from our last pre-pandemic trip to London: Pencils and rubber ducky bought at the Globe Theater. By this time, they‘re truly new to me! 🤷🏻♀️😎 #RediscoveredTreasures
Few moments in life spark joy faster than new book shelves! 😍
Now to fill them up 📖 📕 📚
Packing up for moving and going through books. Anybody in the Denver area have good ideas for places to donate? #bookdonation
What sparks joy for me at the beginning of every year is organizing my goodreads tbr. It‘s just an awful never ending project but I know I‘ll feel better when it‘s done. In other news, I still haven‘t read The Institute and I think it is because I cannot commit to losing myself for a full day which is what will happen, always does.
2020 already seems really long.
Note to others- tidying is addictive and Kondo‘s books should not be read during a readathon #24b42020 because you will get sucked in! Didn‘t read as long as I wanted to today because I tidied recipes and donated clothes!
🤣🤣🤣
I‘ve had that cat! 😂 Luckily, my current ones aren‘t too bad.

We need to put an end to this cruelty! 🙀
I can't tell if Marie Kondo is joking or being serious.
Still, this is pretty funny.
This is like an in-depth guide to the Marie Kondo method of tidying up with illustrations on how to fold. Great suggestions. Don't know if I'm ever going to put them to work.
My accumulative #bookhaul for May from Book Barn, B&N, Amazon, @strandbookstore , BotM, #ctlitsymeetup, etc. I may have a problem. Reorganizing efforts start this evening!
This is the second book, and they should be read in order. This book makes a lot of clarifications on the first book, including folding illustrations and a few more tips. Both books are excellent.
I got this on a whim but wound up really enjoying it! I find this calm and methodical writing very soothing when my anxiety is putting me on edge a little. Listening to this while I sorted my laundry made me feel very at peace, which is probably just the desired effect! I live in a small single room rn, but have plans to move out this year and I‘m already working on my daydreams and plans for how to make my first flat a wonderful place to live.
”The energy of book titles and the words inside them are very powerful. In Japan, we say that ‘words make our reality.‘ The words we see and with which we come into contact tend to bring about events of the same nature. In that sense, you will become the person who matches the books you have kept.” Came across this advice while waiting for my new bookshelves at the Container Store. Never thought about this, but there might be some truth to it. 🤔
Just as good as the first book! Really loving these Marie Kondo books and I genuinely recommend them to anyone who wants a tidy space. I keep bringing up KonMari irl like a complete weirdo and I don't even care. I really liked the illustrations in this one, which helped me to actually understand what she meant in descriptions of folding.
3.5/5⭐ This book includes some great tips, and I loved the little illustrations. Kondo's anecdotes really make her strategies shine. I did think it was slightly repetitive, both internally and with her first book.
When the Netflix show was released it set off a lot of heated discussion of Marie Kondo‘s method of tidying up - and it seems to have been misconstrued. By that I mean she doesn‘t say to get rid of all of your books, or to even keep 30 (that‘s what SHE finds to be the best for HER). The worst offenders of nastiness appear to have been readers and I‘m disappointed in how we chose to behave. Also, now I have to read the books to get the real story.
I've recently surprised myself by getting hooked on Marie Kondo's Netflix series. My husband documented the situation last week on Instagram and I just had to share 😆😉
“Spark Joy” sparks joy!! (Currently reading)
Well I guess I could go the Marie Kondo route and purge some of my cookbooks. These 4 I don‘t think I‘ve even opened in probably 10 years. 🤔
Went clothes "shopping" at my aunt-in-law's yesterday. She is clearing out her closets and gave me a box of clothes to take away. I was able to keep between 85 and 90% of it -- a few things were too big or not really my style. Now to do a bit of #AudioIroning!
I had to laugh...#Ihaveakooziedrawer
I have been hearing alot about #mariekondo lately. Last weekend I decided to check out her show. I watched a few episodes. Pretty entertaining. I don‘t see how she wants to limit the amount of books though. Just the act of seeing a full bookshelf sparks joy in me 😄
The comment section is wild!

Say what now?!
I‘ve been watching the Marie Kondo show on Netflix (& the interesting response to her methods showing up online) and although I‘m with you all on her strange approach to books - it does makes complexing viewing. This is one of the books on my shelves that ‘sparks joy‘!
