Even Though I Knew the End is such a short yet absolutely heartfelt read. Every moment spent with Helen and Edith made my heart soar, reading about how much they loved and cared for one another and would do anything for the other. It was also a very pleasant experience reading a book that touched on queer issues without it being to the point of it being triggering for myself. Definitly one of my top reads for the year!!

I struggle a lot with non-fiction books and biographies a lot so this was a really nice way for me to learn something I'm passionate about while not losing focus or interest! I loved the art style and the storytelling so much it really helped me retain a lot of information!

Returning to Ceremony was the first book I read on Metis culture and Spirituality. I'm usually not a fan of non-fiction books and struggle to read them quite often but I found myself excited to turn the page and continue. I was really encouraged to start reconnecting and learning more about my dad's heritage.

Second time reading through and annotating this book and I still love it with all my heart especially with my - very much alive - fascination with Good Omens. Very much reminded me of Neil Gaimans works and I couldent have asked for more. Admittedly I got a little tired and slowed my reading once Ragnarok began, which I thought was curious since it's literally the end of the world's. Or at least one of the ends. Will forever love our trickster.

I found that there was quite a lot of the book that was simply unnecessary and didn‘t contribute anything to the story and instead took away. (ie. the OTHER four horsemen of the apocalypse). Additionally, the passive racist comments and jests along with the odd sexualization of War throughout the novel left me cringing. (And not in a good way might I add). However, I did enjoy the overall plot, pacing, and characters. A very decent read overall!
