pickI thoroughly enjoyed this cozy mystery! Thanks to @Read4life and @DebinHawaii for making me aware of it. Book 2 in a series. I haven‘t read Book 1, and that didn‘t matter. Set in a book-themed Manor hotel, which is hosting a Valentines week conference featuring Romance authors. Very fun, and the mystery kept me guessing.

pickBook 2 was so much better than the first. I‘m really happy I didn‘t bail on this because of my feelings towards book 1. This one had a better thought out plot and wasn‘t bogged down with all sorts of asides.

I did enjoy this second book, read for #SeasonalCozies more than the first one. It still not as good as the author‘s Secret, Book, & Scone Society books but Jane grew on me & even though the Storyton Hall concept is a bit out there (although I‘d love to stay there without all the murders!) it was an enjoyable Valentine‘s read as Jane‘s festive “Romancing the Reader” event goes awry when an author is murdered. I have ⬇️
Like @julieclair & @Read4life I will be reading the tagged book for #SeasonalCozies Feb/Valentine‘s Day.💕 It is the second book in the series so I just started book 1 (pictured & tagged below) this morning (gotta read it in order!). I have had both books sitting in my a Kindle TBR for ages & I love the author‘s Secret, Book & Scone Society series, so I‘m excited for these books!
I had planned to read In Cold Chamomile for my February #SeasonalCozies pick, but @Read4life and @DebinHawaii are both reading this one, which looks soooo good, so I‘ve changed my mind at the last minute! 💖

It was a very slow walking day - lots of pauses to stretch. Bonus - the walk helped me get to over 10k steps for the day.
pickThird cozy down for #CozyintheSun and #CYOReadathon. I loved the first so much I had to buy the second on Kindle. It did not disappoint, even though I guessed the baddie early on, the story and characters are all such a joy. I really like a Cozy Heroine with kids, it adds another dimension. And what I wouldn't give to be a guest at Storyton Hall. 😍

pickFinished this 2nd installment in the Book Retreat Mystery series by Ellery Adams and I have to say I enjoyed it even more the first book! Romance readers have gathered at the resort for a week of Regency era pleasures coinciding with Valentine‘s Day. Unfortunately love isn‘t the only thing in the air when a murder is discovered!

pickI love this series so much!! When I read these books, I find myself wishing I could wander the halls of storyton hall and befriending these characters. Can‘t wait to read the next one!!
I‘ve been in a bit of a book slump so I‘m going back to some Ellery Adams. She never lets me down!
so-soI can‘t decide if I just don‘t like these books — the language can be stilted and the people really prim, proper, and prudish — or if I just intensely dislike the narrator. She tries to do different voices for different characters and she‘s just not good at it. Maybe I need to read, instead of listen to, one of her books.
Started the second one is this cosy little series. Feel a bit sorry for Jane that another one of her events is about to be interupted by murder.
I finally filled my paperback bookcase! It used to be our media cabinet, so it only holds my smaller books. But I was able to empty four boxes—progress!
This book isn't listed on Litsy, but it's one of my fave #quickreads. The author has to move to a smaller place and faces the terrifying trauma of downsizing her book collection, thus feeling like the assassin of her most treasured childhood reads. 😬📚
It's a Kindle single, meaning very, very short read. And fun! Highly recommend to anyone living in a sea of lovely books. Especially: @Liberty @MrBook @BookBabe 😉
