Between my son, my significant other, and his family, I ended up with an amazing holiday book haul! I'm so grateful to have so many sweet, generous, thoughtful people in my life! 🥰

The husband is going to be DMing a D&D game so I decided to play too. I haven‘t played since high school and even then only a handful of times. This is going to be interesting. I‘ve decided to be a high-elf wizard. Her name is Lumi.

And finally my hubby got me these! They are beautifully designed! And just the right thing for our ongoing D&D sessions

Sorry I‘ve been MIA lately. The only thing I‘ve been reading lately is listening to the Harry Potter series on Audible... over and over and over. I just haven‘t felt like I have much to contribute here lately. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I have my most recent book purchase here. The hubs @TheWhiteHatter myself, @kylienoele and @Nihilist00 are planning D&D together over Zoom. I‘m a noob, but I‘m already having fun, and it‘s a nice way to see people right now. 😊

Semi-book related since I was using the tagged book but I had to share my helper Monday night during my D&D campaign. Even though my group can‘t meet in person, we‘ve moved to online and now can play longer!

Today's campaign to get my brother and my niece interested in playing d&d with me and my sister was a success. My son already said he will join our group when he comes home from the military this summer. #thefamilythatgeekstogether

Wordery haul. I wanted to try out as an alternative to Amazon and I am really pleased. The prices are comparable, shipping was fast, and it came in appropriately sized packages which can also be recycled.

I had a stressful few weeks and needed some new books to cheer me up! 😂

Inter-library loan is the best. But I may have also ordered my own copy this morning anyway. In my defense it was because I had a gift card to spend. We all knew I was going to buy my own copy though didn't we?

So The Silent Patient finally moved from my Wait List to Loan status at OverDrive and I can‘t wait to .... ohh look at the pretty pictures ... I‘ve been distracted! Definitely nice artwork. I feel like drawing now. These books are inspirational in more ways than one. Listening to The Silent Patient, paging thru some books & reaching for a sketchbook. Another amazing weekend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meanwhile, my friends and I made a group and started D&D 😂

I must say... I regret making fun of it in the past. With the right friends (and maybe a bit of alcohol... but mostly with the right friends...) it‘s a crap ton of fun 😬 Gotta read through this monster (ha, get it...) of a book and learn the ropes!

1. Yes! I love DnD, it‘s my favorite hobby besides reading. I even run a game for a my parents, brother, and aunt!
2. Lol, yes! I actually have a session scheduled for tomorrow night
3. If you‘re new to the game, I suggest just having fun! Don‘t worry too much about the rules, chances are someone with more experience will help out. Just let yourself relax and enjoy the game!

1) Yep! I‘ve been playing for 6 years now, 4 of those years with the same group. I play a half-elf Cleric / Radiant Servant of Corellon Larethian named Elswyth.
2) Obviously, since I do 😬
3) If possible, play with a couple people who know what they‘re doing. You‘ll get a much better feel for the game from playing than from reading the books. Fun is the name of the game, not rules.

This one was a no brainer! I'm an unapologetic geek and love me some D&D. I have a group of friends that get together every Sunday so we can and sit around a table and go on grand adventures. I'm usually the GM - meaning I run the game and we have a blast looting dungeons, slaying dragons, and creating legends that span a lifetime! 🤓

This is my first foray into D&D. At the recommendation of several people I have started with the 5th edition of the game and I have to say I found it fun and easy to follow.

If you're interested in D&D, it's a ton of commitment but also a ton of fun and I'd also recommend starting with this edition. It's super accessible for such a heavily involved game.

I've got my first D&D meeting tomorrow with some friends so I gotta study up. I'm about half way through the book, have the day off work, and plan to finish it today. So excited someone is going to take me through a game and teach me how to run a campaign 😊

I'm tired of never finding a D&D group. So I'm going to run my own! As soon as I can wrap my head around the basics 😝

Working on my D&D character's story tonight. We haven't started the campaign yet, but I'm excited to see where this is going to go. We unintentionally all decided to be evil (or self serving) so it should be a lot different from our other RP night with Dragon Age. ❤️
