Today was a treat yourself kind of morning. I‘m enjoying a #reread of the tagged book with some delicious breakfast. The book is just as good as I remembered. I‘ve been struggling a lot lately so I haven‘t been updating here for a while but I‘ve actually read ten books this year already. Hopefully I‘ll be able to reach my goal of 25 books this year!

This year definitely wasn‘t the best one for me. My goal was to finish 25 books but I didn‘t quite manage that. I don‘t think I‘ve ever fallen short of my goal since I started using Goodreads some years back. But I still read 21 books! Hopefully I‘ll get to 25 next year!📚

I‘m not really sure what to say about this one. It was okay but I think I expected to love this like I loved The Disasters but that just didn‘t happen. I liked it but wasn‘t super drawn into it.

What a space journey! Overall I liked this one but I also feel like I wanted to like it more than I did. The way the story unravelled was interesting, though, and I liked the different character relationships. The science stuff lost me on a few occasions but that was to be expected.🚀🌌

I went into this book with high expectations because the first book in the trilogy was so good but it just didn‘t hit the mark for me. I was really quite bored until the last few chapters when things started to finally happen. But at least the ending made sure I‘ll have to read the third book too.

What a fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the adventure and I loved the characters so much! This was just what I needed right now. And the #audiobook was really good too!🪐🚀

Did I just finish reading this instead of doing the things I was supposed to be doing? Yes, yes I did. And I regret nothing😂 What a relatable collection of comics! Loved it!

I finally got around to reading the last volume (at least as far as I can tell?). I have to say I was mostly confused about everything because I couldn‘t really remember what happened in the previous ones😂 But an okay adventure still!

Ultimately, I ended up liking this but it took a while. I felt like the beginning was really slow and I nearly gave up but I had to find out what happens with Nina so I kept with it. I enjoyed the second part of the book a lot more. I especially liked Isaak‘s chapters as well as Nina‘s which was surprising considering Nikolai was one of my favourite characters in the original trilogy.

That sure was a book I listened to. I don‘t really have anything to say about it. I was so excited to read this because of the premise but then the book as a whole just didn‘t do anything for me. It held my interest enough that I got through it but that‘s about it.

It took me about four years but I finally finished this! I read it episode by episode while also listening to the Good Morning Night Vale episodes for each one. There were many long pauses in between episodes but I got there eventually! It was nice getting to revisit the early episodes and I really liked the short forewords before each one💜

Today hasn‘t really gone to plan but at least I‘ve found myself reading in two different libraries so I‘ll count that as a win! I‘m finally trying to make some progress in the tagged book but it‘s slow going.

I can‘t remember the last time I picked up a book by a Finnish author but this caught my eye in the library. I really liked how diverse it is and the fact that it‘s set at a university. The characters were all really interesting as was the plot and I really liked how Finnish folklore was incorporated into it. It could‘ve used another round of editing and the romance didn‘t quite hit the mark but overall I enjoyed this!

I finally got around to getting myself a StoryGraph account and after importing my GoodReads shelves I went to see my stats. And I promptly burst out laughing because I‘m pretty sure I only know two languages well enough to read books in. It‘s safe to say that something went wonky here😂

julesG Is it maybe based on where the authors are from? 2y
lukulamppu @julesG It doesn‘t seem like it, looks more like random languages got assigned to some books for seemingly no good reason, for example King Oedipus was marked as Estonian and I have no idea why😂 2y
lukulamppu And then I tried to add that into the database using the ISBN of the Finnish version and it put the language as Catalan for some reason?? So I really don‘t know. 2y
julesG 🙈🙈🙈🙈 That's nuts. 2y

I finished my #reread and I have to say I still love it as much, if not more, as on the first time around. I had forgotten most of what happens in the first half so it was almost like reading a whole new book. Very happy to have read it again! #translatedbooks

I spent my morning finishing this when everyone else slept and what a treat it was! The story and the characters sucked me in from the very start but I haven‘t had the time to finish it until now. I really liked the way this story was told even if I would have liked to see some scenes from a different point of view too. But overall I loved this and the boys!☀️

Well that sure was an ending. I‘m still trying to process most of it tbh😂 I liked some parts of this better than the first book but overall this was mostly an okay read for me. With both books I found myself liking the side characters a lot more than the mains which I wasn‘t too surprised about considering I‘m not the hugest fan of Romeo and Juliet in the first place. Overall an okay read!

I have mixed feelings about this one. I liked a lot of it but there were some things that weren‘t really my cup of tea. Molly was an interesting main character and the #audiobook was very good but overall this missed the mark for me a little.

I took a break from cleaning to finally finish my #reread of this one. I remember not liking this first one as much as the other two in the trilogy and I have to say that so far that hasn‘t changed. Hopefully the other two are better this time around too, because I have to say that this one is still very much meh.

My reading life has been a mess lately. I‘ve barely touched any physical books and have been slowly making my way through an audiobook. At this point reading books just seems to take too much brain power, but I‘ve read a ton of fanfic instead. So, I‘ve actually been reading a whole lot lately, just not books😅 I‘ve been trying to figure out how to track that in my #bujo but so far haven‘t come up with anything.📓

I only really have one word: wow. I was completely swept away by this and probably would‘ve listened to all of it in sitting if I‘d had the time. I loved the story and the characters and the sheer emotional punch it packed. I don‘t usually pay much attention to the way books are structured but I have to say that the structure of this was absolutely brilliant and gave the story so many layers. I also really liked the #audiobook. Loved it!

And with that, I‘ve managed to finish 30 books this year! My #GoodreadsGoal was to read 25, so this is a big win! I‘ve had a hard time reading books this autumn after I started at my current job, and there were a couple months when I didn‘t finish any books. So seeing that I still got to 30 makes me super happy!📚🎉

I wanted to love this book, I really did, but it just fell a little flat. I enjoyed the story and it was sweet and heartbreaking but I had a hard time following the jumpy timelines at times. I also would‘ve liked a little more emotional depth, to actually feel how the characters felt, but it didn‘t quite hit the mark with that. Liked it though!
