Very apt for our current times. Steinbeck recovering from the flu, commenting on the happiness of humankind, their lack of understanding and learning from the past... and their natural need for semi anarchy.
My reading tradition is to begin each new year with a book of letters or memoirs.
I've wanted to read this for a few years but it was massively out of my price range. Fortune struck and got this on eBay.
There's even a newspaper cutting in the back, about the book and Steinbeck 😊😊📖📖📰
