The time has come to finally restock my mini TBR shelf.

I have so many physical books I own that I haven't read that it gets to be a tad overwhelming at times trying to decide what to read. So I recently started keeping a small random selection in my living room & those are the books I will read 1st. I won't add any books to the stack until I finish what is currently there (unless it is for a bookclub).

An excellent start to an epic fantasy series. A new take on Faye (called Fhrey), a long lived race that humans (called Runes) believed to be gods. However, due to a remarkable set of incidents it is discovered they are mortal. This is a great combination of world building, great characters to root for and solid storytelling. I definitely look forward to continuing this series. 5⭐️

One of this month‘s buddy reads came in the mail today. I‘ve already listened to it & now I‘m going to read/annotate an old paperback. 😁

So I liked this storyline and it had some surprising moments the characters were well written and interesting I have to buy the second book in the series to see how the story continues enjoyable 🤗📖🤨

I‘ve had this book for a while … before I moved here so I‘m going to read it now 📖🤨😛

I started this series about a year ago, but only read the first volume. Now that I have all of them, it's game on!!!

Finally reading this series after finishing the original Riyria books a few years ago. As always, Sullivan‘s writing sucked me in and I was hooked from the beginning. This book definitely feels like an introductory novel but the ending teases you with the greatness to come.

Epic fantasy at its best! This has been quite an enjoyable book, and even though some parts felt like they dragged on a little too much... It was still well worth the read. With this being said, I believe there would be many fantasy fiction lovers would be delighted to read. Definitely worth checking out 😊👍📚📖💙

This is a prequel? I think? It was interesting but not my type of book. I tried. The author did a good job of shaping images, but he assumed you knew the rest of the story and I did not.

Finished this the other day. Loved it. I'm so glad there are more in the series! Gonna start book two in the very near future. 👍

2019 has been a bit of a lacklustre reading year so far but finally I had an absolutely enjoyable read!!! So many threads that satisfyingly came together for a good conclusion to this book that still left me wanting more of the characters and larger story arc.

I LOVED the Riyria Revelations series by this author and decided to check out his current series. I‘m about 75% through this one and so far it does not disappoint 😊

Wanted something fun and adventurous to listen to, and Michael J Sullivan never lets me down. If you like fantasy even a bit, and haven‘t read his Ryiria Revelations series, I urge you to pick it up. It‘s wonderful on audio, too. 💕

What an eloquent way to classify feelings of enslavement either mental or physical. Bad relationships, bad professional position, or just self restriction it‘s all harmful. Although this author refers to true enslavement the literary reference to how an individual feels is simplistic yet very eloquently described. 📖😋

Starting this book now I wanted to read something new 📖😋

The plot was a little predictable but I enjoyed the journey. I found it interesting how there are different types of gods with different abilities and that some humans, or Rhunes, are very similar to them...

Plot was too obvious. Fun character ideas.

A little slow at times, but this was a good start to a series. Love Suri and Minna! But, in general most characters are a bit one-dimensional. Hopefully that will be remedied in the next book.

I'm only on chapter two but I'm pleased to say this book looks like it will be as amazing as The Riyria Revelations and The Riyria Chronicles!

Finally getting to my review of this one. This is the first of five books. I found the beginning a little slow mainly because I did note care about one of the storylines and it is setting up the world. However, less then half way through it really came together. Strong ending full or suspense and a cliff hanger. Great female characters that are strong and don‘t need a man to save the day. I really enjoy. Great fantasy. Ready for the next one!

After Church, lab report grading, dance prop making and a trip to the mall with my daughter, I can finally dive into this one! My daughter wanted to be in the pic but change her mind in the last minute. You get Gus the Pug instead!

Book 4 of 2018: Age of Myth by Michael J Sullivan 🌟🌟🌟🌟(4 Stars) Three Thoughts 1) started off a little slow but wow that ending!! 2) I don‘t love these characters as much as Royce from the Riyria books but they are growing on me 3) well crafted world and storytelling and I‘m looking forward to seeing where this series goes
