so-soI'm honestly conflicted on how to rate this, the writing has some beautiful moments, the character study is nicely done and even the perspective are nicely done.
But there's too many excessive details and pages that don't need to be there, and for a character to spend a whole book disgusted at what was done to her only to do the same in the end. Also in 2025 stop referring to POC as having "chocolate skin"
pickThe book starts with a brutal attack on our protagonist, one that should have killed her. It's then that she learns that the attack has triggered a fatal hemorrhage that can strike in the next week. She then works with her best friend to find her killer.
I loved the premise, characters and storytelling in this book. It was definitely worth your time.

pickI didn't think I'd finish, but here we are. I hated this book the first 4 chapters and then boom I'm invested. The story is told through multiple characters, and FYI they're shitty people, as they unravel a tale of lies, deceit and multiple murders...I only finished because it was hard to put down

pickThis book was insane, I actually dropped it as I physically reacted to a scene of horror. (Which never happens)
The characters are extremely unlikable and its a bit over the top, but damn if it didn't get me caught up in a story and entertained by where it went.
What if everyone who says, "Being gay is a choice" are in fact choosing to be straight and suppressing their gay urges and they assume that's everyone's experience ?
