I flew through this one! The effects of human cruelty, medical crises, the importance and impact of family (present, lost and found). The heartbreak and hope was strong in this one.

I just keep hearing Who Can It Be Now by Men at Work while reading the part I‘m at in the tagged book.
“Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more”
Want to play @CBee @TieDyeDude @Crazeedi
A book about me?? lol ok, maybe not…. However, I did enjoy the book and how everything tied together at the end. Kept me wanting to read more to see what happens.
#17 of 2023 Last book did not hold my attention so hopefully this one will.
I wanted to so-so this book but I just did not like it. It had no momentum for me and every chapter from the middle felt like I was reading the same thing over and over. Somehow I finished it and the ending even made me dislike it even more so that‘s why it a dud for me. Don‘t waste your time!
I need to talk about this book but I was cut to pieces, so real, so much truth. Gosh how cruel society is, how cruel humans can be.
- Not reading a thriller ever again!!!! -
Happy reading everyone 💙📖💙

Happy Saturday/Sunday Reading Everyone!!!
I really hope all of you are safe and healthy.
🍵 Always, always, always remember KINDNESS makes a difference and guess what? IT COMES BACK TO YOU! (IDK, my mamá told me so...) 🍵
Take care 🌼
A hard-to-put-down thriller with some very heartbreaking events. I‘m reading a funny book now (something I don‘t normally need to switch to after a thriller). If you read this, you might do the same or exercise some self-care when you finish reading this book.

Playing out of order because I just discovered this game. Also, #whynot?
So far, Litsy reviewers haven‘t liked the tagged so much, it seems, but I‘m loving it so far! I hope I don‘t change my mind; I love psychological thrillers and mysteries.

A passionate woman sees a young girl with a tiny baby in the pouring rain waiting for the train and wants to help her. The plot unravels from there at an exceedingly slow pace. I did enjoy the mystery and the structure of the novel was well done. The deterioration of the mental health of one of the MCs was also brilliantly portrayed. The pacing was so painfully slow but I am glad I made it through to the end. 3⭐️
Just finished this great book. The twists and turns are awesome to keeping you turning those pages, going from one "WHAT THE?" to the next "WHAT THE?"
So happy for The character known as Willow, to have a happy ending, to such a tragic life.
Heidi notices a young girl with a baby standing in the rain while waiting on her train. She decides to help the young girl out by bringing her home, which turns out to be a bad idea (of course!)
4 stars. This was my favorite kubica book. I am a sucker for a phycological thriller, also love flipping back and forth between past and present tense, and different characters points of view.
She sees the teenage girl on the train platform, standing in the pouring rain, clutching an infant in her arms. She boards a train and is whisked away. But she can't get the girl out of her head…
Kubica‘s characters are well-drawn but are they really who we think they are? Who is the baby and who are the baby‘s parents? The answers are in the pages of this book. A psychological thriller, complex and gripping. Don‘t You Cry is my next Kubica read!
For me this was a slow build and then the last quarter is page-turning madness!
Also, if you're on the brink of losing your faith in humanity, probably best to skip this one as there's a lot of bleakness with not much hope.

First time I've listened to the #audiobook version of a book that I've read before. I downloaded it.. started listening..then I realized I read it already! But I got hooked.
Both are pretty great, but I will recommend this audiobook to anyone needing something to distract them while they are doing massive amounts of cleaning/cooking that they have zero desire to do. It is fantastic. Comes across as a movie in your brain. Great cast!
Just finished Pretty Baby. It was a quick and enjoyable read. I was hoping for more of a twist at the end but definitely had an interesting plot and characters that slowly reveal their true selves!
I was definitely expecting more from this book. It wasn‘t horrible by any means, but I was waiting for some kind of big twist that didn‘t come. There were some surprises but not at all what you are waiting for. The change in narrator by chapter does keep in interesting! I‘d give it a 3 out of 5.
Overall the story was very interesting. My opinion on Heidi shifted and I ended up not liking her at all by the end. As with The Good Girl, I'm not sure the ending was as satisfying as I would've liked, but it was a good story that surprised me with some things.
This was the view I had while reading more on this book. Reading is a wonderful way to pass time flying. And now I get to enjoy some time with my best friend!
Spent my lunch hour getting further into this book. I wish I could just spend the rest of the day reading instead of getting back to work
I'm bailing on Pretty Baby and going to start one of the other three as my next #audiobook. I just didn't even care what happened to the characters in the Kubica book when honestly I should have liked Heidi because of her work. Instead I just don't care for any of them so onto something better!
Book 5 of the year is this gem I picked up at Walgreens a few weeks ago even though my TBR shelf is over stuffed lol this one I‘ve heard lots of great reviews about the author and this is the first book I‘ve read from here so I‘m curious to see if she‘s as good a writer as I hear. (The books in the background are all I‘ve read last year & the year before) except HP book 7 I still need to read that! After book 6 I cried so much so taking a break 😔
Not quite the page-turner I was looking for, but it still held my interest. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just started this last night, and super excited to dive in tonight and my day off tomorrow 😊2nd book of 2018! Stupid work getting in the way of my reading time 😕
Kind of predictable, not as much a thriller as I was hoping. Love how her books are written, each chapter is written from the perspective of an individual character.
This book was okay. I was expecting more from reviews I‘ve read on authors book by Kubica. It took me a lot longer that what I had anticipated to read. It just didn‘t hold my attention or keep me in suspense like I felt it should have.
Not my favorite book but a quick read! 3.5/5 a little unrealistic but it was good!
I liked Kubica‘s writing and the way the story was presented from three different points of view. 3.5/5
I used the BookShout app for the first time to read this. Cool how it clocks your average reading speed.
I really enjoyed this! Surprisingly more than (don't kill me) The Good Girl. The way Kubica blends the different stories kept me intrigued. And I liked the audiobook narrators. I really cared about the characters even though I often thought to myself "wtf that chick is CRAZY!" but I guess that's the point ?
Willow's story is tragic. Heidi makes stupid decisions. The twist at the end is unbelievable.
My latest read. I just started this and have decided to keep it at work rather than taking it back and forth with me. Started a little slow, but it's starting to pick up now.
I just cannot get into this one. Too many others on my tbr stack to read to waste time on something I can't get into! 🤗
Today's library haul... not sure which to start next! Suggestions?
