This was one of my favorite rhyming books to listen as a child. This story has such a cute ending along with some great advice / messages for children. Love that there is also a series of llama books.
This was such a cute book to read! It teaches a lesson on emotions like worry and comfort. This is a great pick for young children! Makes a great bedtime story!
Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney, 2005. This is a sweet and heartfelt story about a llama and his mama doing their everyday nightly routine. Llama's mom reads him a bedtime story and then goes on to do household chores. Llama waits patiently for his mama to return but then starts to worry that she won't come back! He shouts loudly for his mama to come and she reminds him that she is always with him in his heart.
I participated in the Kellogg reading program by buying cereal and a partner product to get two book credits. These are the books I chose for my 18 month old daughter! ☺️📚
Connection to the children. great illustrations. However, might be concerning for other students who may not have a momma around
Llama llama wanted his momma because he was feeling alone. He was calling for his momma but she was not answering. He was an anxious baby llama in his red pajamas.
I could use this book in my classroom to talk about social-emotional learning and use this book to start discussions about feelings and emotional regulation. I could also link it to my classroom routines, such as how to handle separation anxiety during new situations or transitions. I could also create a feelings chart.
This book is a picture book that was published in 2005 and it is a part of children's literature. This story follows Llama Llama as he experiences separation anxiety when his mama leaves the room at bedtime. This text is very rhythmic and it captures the emotions of a child's fear and longing with warmth and humor.
The joy of reading it aloud is undeniable. So sweet. ☺️
It's pajama and stuffed animal sleepover day at the library, so Candycorn and Batty McBatface have joined me at work for the festivities. I wish every day was pajama day! 😁
This story is really cute and something all kids can relate to. The rhyming flows so well that it almost sounds like a song that‘s being sung or a rap being rapped. This is another good book to introduce kids to rhymes and harder poetry.
This story is a heartwarming tale that many parents and children can relate to, emphasizing the reassurance that even when parents are momentarily away, they'll always come back. This poems rhyming and rhythm makes the story engaging and interesting for readers.
Hoping that if I bring this little nugget to the library enough, he'll start loving books as much as his mama. I know at the very least he'll always pick out a Llama Llama book...🤣😅🙂😒
Have the granddaughters tonight for a sleepover. This was our bedtime reading with my 7 and 2 year old 🥰 I love that they love books! #grammaslibrary
Soooo.... I just got these books from the Kellogg‘s reward program, where when you purchase a participating item you can pick a book for yourself or donate it! Absolutely in love. Excuse me while I eat my Rice Krispies. https://www.kelloggsfamilyrewards.com/en_US/promotions/feeding-reading-national....
This F story in the Llama Llama series is about little baby llama who is waiting for his momma to come in so he can go to sleep. Busy momma has a few things to take care of before going up to baby llama. Will he be patient or will he cause a fuss? This lesson allows students to show their creativity and make their own quilt based off the one in the story. So excited about this new puzzle 🥰 #audiopuzzling
@cassiopia I‘m so sorry for your loss. It must be really tough for you right now. This video clip always makes me smile, Ludacris looks so happy singing a children‘s book. Hopefully the link works.

My little guy tried to smuggle his llama friends to school in his backpack this morning... we had some real llama drama when he got busted! 😂
So, Llama Llama is now a tv show on Netflix. It doesn't quite live up to the books, but my little dudes like it so I'm cool with it. But I saw the pictured review on IMDB, and I just can't tell if this person is joking?!?!
Belated Holiday and Llama appreciation!

The main character is a young llama who is having trouble being patient waiting on his Mama llama. Since quite a few young students are scared of the dark and when it‘s time to go to bed, this story brings a little humor to what it‘s like to learn the lesson about having good patients. It‘s funny watching Baby Llama and what not to do at bed time.

Llama llama Red Pajama is a fiction book written by Anna Dewdney. This book is a rhyme read aloud about a llama that begins to worry when his mama goes downstairs. She comes back upstairs to set things right. I read this book for a read aloud and I think it‘s particularly beneficial for EL‘s. Definitely recommend for beginning readers. #UCFWaltersLit -fiction
It's hard for me to pick a favorite children's book as I loved so many. My dad says he used to have to read me Are You My Mother over and over. Right now my nephews favorites are the I Am series by Brad Meltzer, his Mickey on the Farm, his Sassy counting book and Llama Llama Red Pajama which his mom and I now have memorized. #Riotgrams #childrensbooks
Two of my favorite things: books and food. Yes, she's definitely my daughter (aka Bibliophile in Training). ❤
Here are my baby's #TopReadsOf2016. These are the books we read at least five times a day, the books he always picks out first to read, the books that once it's finished we have to start right over again. Luckily, with the exception of one book I don't mind reading all of them over and over and over and over....

so I'm sick again. 😷 This time shared by my baby. I'm sort of better so I'm finally wrapping the kids' gifts. These are the books they'll be getting in a few days. 😊 With a cup of honey and lemon oil tea, I'll be wrapping away tonight. #BookwormsInTraining #MommyBookwormProblems #BookGifts
#bookishmail for me is my #OwlCrate #UglySweater which I LOVE!!! And Kaysen got her December book from #ImaginationLibrary 📚🎉 If you want a free book each month for your child, look up Dolly Parton's Imagination Library online and see if they offer it near you. Every month until your child turns 5! It is such a great program ❤️️
Just stopping my finals prep to say.... I've got llama pj shorts! thats all 😂😂
Don't mind me; I'm rocking in a corner trying to remember that this just means she loves reading, not that she's trying to drive me crazy.
R.I.P, Anna Dewdney❤️
A strong and beautiful woman who died after 10 years of fighting brain cancer, but kept writing and creating the Llama Llama stories throughout 2015 despite her declining health.
Thanks so much for all the giggles😊
I will watch the upcoming Netflix series of Llama Llama in honor of everything you've done. Heaven has gained another angel.
Author Anna Dewdney asked that in lieu of a funeral, all parents read to their children after losing her battle with cancer. Beautiful message to her fans.
RIP, Anna Dewdney, author of the "Llama Llama" children's book series. #OOPquote
She requested that in lieu of a funeral service that people read to a child instead.
So sad to hear about Anna Dewdney's death. What a wonderfully talented author; my daughter loves her Baby Llama series. #WWW #penguinkids
