pickI thought I‘d read this as a companion to my #PotterADay readalong. I‘m always fascinated by anything to do with the world of Harry Potter, and this was a fairly quick read with lots of interesting tidbits about witchcraft in general, along with a lot of early drafts and drawings by J.K. Rowling. A must-read for Potterhead fans! 4⭐️

Just snuggling my main squeeze Calli #dogsoflitsy and reading this random HP book I picked up at Meijer this past year. Really enjoying it. Still sad I couldn‘t get into my reread of HP this summer - last summer I did everything HP but maybe it‘s too much to do every year.
A huge shoutout to @NCNY for this fabulous package of #harrypotterswap goodness! What a wonderful surprise to come home to on Friday (after the longest week ever). Everything you picked is perfect and I even got Hermione in the mystery pouch, which is the one I was hoping for! I am definitely looking forward to learning all kinds of new tid-bits from this book and once I do I‘m thinking I should find a HP trivia event to enter!

I'm really loving the online exhibit of Harry Potter: A History of Magic from the British Library. It's on Google Arts & Culture app which allows one to zoom in extremely closely on the artwork and exhibits 😍

pickIf it has the words “Harry Potter” on it, I will read it. I saw this was available through digital from my library, so I thought I might as well! It was also me determining if I needed to buy it right away, or if I could wait. I thought some parts were really cool, but I couldn‘t delve into reading most of the small handwritten notes on the Kindle. 😔. I will probably eventually purchase it, but I am in no rush.
so-soI wanted more historical content and less Jim Kay illustrations. Don‘t get me wrong - they‘re beautiful! But I already have all the illustrated editions. I also didn‘t like that it was written like Nat Geo for kids or something. I figured more adults than kids would read something like this.

Haul from Portland, Maine! The llama book is for my 2-year-old niece who went as a llama for Halloween. She won‘t care that it‘s not Halloween anymore. We are back home now where we have heat and electricity. We took advantage of this first world luxury by binge watching Stranger Things season 2.

I had to start reading Friday evening, since I wanted to attend a funeral yesterday. So this is as far as I got 7 hours 38 minutes, not even close to 24 hours but rewarding nonetheless. #readathon @DeweysReadathon
We stopped by two bookstores in the next city over and find quite few books today. These two I grabbed a place called Horton's. I wasn't sure expecting to find a house edition in the US, and with luck it was one of the houses I didn't have yet!
