✨2021 Reading Goals ✨
• Read more nonfic (perennial goal)
• Read poetry every day (*first thing* in the morning)
• Read ALL of my Book Club‘s picks this year (🙈 I‘m a bad seed)

1* I celebrated by posting about what I‘m reading on my blog and watching a few episodes of The Expanse with the husband and the doggo. There might‘ve been a couple delicious European cookies eaten as well.
2* Can‘t pick just one! Rat Queens Vol. 1, The Lost City of the Monkey God, Outlander.

Thanks to @PaperbackPirate for the tag and @Eggs for creating this! #wondrouswednesday
Perfect New Years day ❤ reading a new book, drinking coffee, footy accumulator done and soccer special on the telly 📚☕⚽️ Can every day of 2020 be like this please?
Happy New Year to my Litsy family! The best of everything to each and every one of you in 2020!

Happy New Year, fellow Littens! From my home in the lovely Pacific Northwest (and the charming city of Spokane, to be more precise!), here's wishing 2020 ushers in plenty of joy and prosperity for each and everyone of you.
😊💜📚☕
Edith Wharton is known for her writings about women making difficult decisions while dealing with the unwritten laws of high society.

I totally forgot to post this earlier this week. I managed to outdo my 2018 reading goal! True, I counted picture books, graphic novels, and audiobooks, but in my mind they count! I‘ve upped this year‘s goal to 300. I can‘t wait to read and discover new books this year!
@phatsallylee Thanks for the interesting postcard with the Emily Bronte quote. It brightened up my day! 💕👌👍☺

This really is worth reading. Perfect length, a longer story would have gotten tiresome. Interesting plot twist and books feature heavily in the story. #newyearsday
Intended to finish this last night but day caught up with me. I've tea and quiet today. Settling in to finish New Years Day. So far it's quite good: "Long as she and her husband had lived together, this passion of his remained for her as much a mystery as on the day when she surprised him, mute and absorbed, over what people she had always lived with would have called 'a deep book.' It was her first encounter with a born reader."
Not bad! But not as much as I'd hoped. I ended up having a friend over last night for movies and pizza, and as much as I love reading, I think friends are more important. :)

I'm #offtobedfordshire with one of the few New Year's Day books by renowned author. It was a bit hard to find a copy. My Library had it in old collection of Edith Wharton. 🥂

New year, new reading log!

Happy New Year, Littens! May your year be filled with many a cozy armchair & never-ending stacks of books ♥️
My 2019 goal is back to 70 books, & 20 AOC, 7 w/ LGBTQIA+ characters, 1 nonfiction. It‘s both daunting & exhilarating to stare at that 0% on goodreads & this empty spread, thinking of all the books it‘s going to fill up with.
Got any #readingresolutions of your own? I‘d love to know!

So this is happening. I‘m trying to read off my giant pile at home, but this is a one day event.😳Maybe start my new book buying ban tomorrow?Or maybe I‘m off the hook because Changing Hands sells used as well as new? That‘s my first rationalization of the New Year!😂📚
They close the Phoenix store this day, they need all staff in Tempe to handle this sale.If you are around,it‘s great.
Happy New Year everyone! In addition to the New Year, today is also Westley's 5th birthday, so I will be spending the day spoiling him! He's already had his peanut butter banana pupcake & later he will get gifts & go for a ride to visit his grandma.
Spending the day appreciating & celebrating this sweet pup seems like the perfect way to start the New Year! I hope everyone is having a wonderful first day of 2019 as well! #HappyNewYear #DogsOfLitsy
Happy New Year !! 🥂🥳
WOO HOO! Highest Number Ever!
Best Thing: Poldark is off my shelf and donated to my Library. 📚

Does anyone else put an unreasonable amount of thought into what book will be the first you read in the new year? I feel like it sets the tone for the rest of the year.
What are you reading first?
Just signed up for the #newyearwhodis I‘ve been slightly out of touch with my Litsy peeps since early summer and am hoping to get back in the swing of things in the new year. This looked like a fun way to start. For more details, see @monalyisha ‘s post.
It snowed in Texas on New Year's Eve!! My boys said it was a Christmas Miracle!! ❄️❄️
🎉Happy New Year my friends! 🎉
1. 85
2. I.Q.; Victoria the Queen; This Must Be the Place
