#hyggehourreadathon I spent most of the day on the couch not feeling well- and sweet Saoirse was next to me for most of it. The view out of my window has been a lot of birds i need to identify and yellow yarrow and a late blooming yellow Iris. I‘m sharing my new cozy seating area- i did not use it tonight but i hope to this Summer- on the left is the simple set up, on the right the view. The book was a perfect cozy mystery! Highly recommend.

Very fun!

I started a new cozy mystery series and I love it.

I grew up loving Agatha Christie books. While I have moved on to much darker tales, I still enjoy a good cozy now and then. While this book wasn‘t for me, I rated it a pick because I think many who love cozies would love this. Samantha leaves her job as an English teacher to open a bookstore. She finds a body outside the bookstore and investigates with her grandma. Her grandma brings along a colorful group of friends to help. Cute, but not for me.

I hadn‘t picked up this series before because the cover didn‘t make it look interesting. However, it was good and includes books, food, and murder, plus a cast of characters that you grew to care about!

Samantha finds herself a suspect when a man is found dead behind her new mystery themed bookstore. Her fellow sleuths are her grandmother Nana Jo and Nana Jo's senior friends. This was fun and Nana Jo is awesome. Sam is also an aspiring writer so there is a story within the story. #cozyinthesun @ferskner @Librarybelle

Enjoyable cozy mystery. I really loved Nana Jo and her team of senior sleuths. I will probably check out the next book at some point.

This is the first in a cozy mystery series by an author who was new to me. Her book features a recently widowed teacher who opens a mystery book shop and who is working on a mystery of her own. Before her store even opens, her realtor is killed. Sam and her grandmother end up investigating the case, while the reader also gets to read the mystery within the mystery. I will definitely read more of her work. #CozyintheSun

My total yesterday for #24in48 - not as high as I hoped. And, of course, I overslept this morning!

A nice cozy - not sure what I was going to think of the book within a book, I ended up really liking it! Great start for a series, looking forward to the next!

First in the Mystery Bookshop Mystery series, and I left this feeling meh. I wasn‘t the biggest fan of the MC, and I admittedly groaned aloud when I discovered the police detective‘s name was Brad Pitt. The mystery within a mystery concept was interesting. Not the worst cozy I‘ve read, but also not a favorite.

Decided I needed some very light reading this evening, so switching to cozy mystery mode...

V.M. Burns created a cozy masterpiece with this book! When reading through this book I was so excited and just wanted more! I absolutely loved the characterisation in this book. I loved how the main character(Samantha) went sleuthing with a group on senior citizen ladies! These ladies were a hoot and could out party me any day!
