I hecken LOVED THIS BOOK!! To be fair I have never read Wuthering Heights, so the plot was new to me. But I loved the creativity of space as a backdrop. And the characters felt like real teenagers thrown into adult hood. And how Stella speaks and acts, especially how she has interactions with different men she finds attractive I found super relatablez ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 Not sure... maybe The Great Gatsby in the future.
📚 That will require some thought.🤔
I really enjoyed this! It was just the right mix of romance, suspense, and sci-fi. The author did a great job with retelling Jane Eyre, as well as adding her own elements to the story. The ending was a little abrupt, but overall, it was a fast, entertaining read.

This was quite good, a touch corny at times but a fun read and I enjoyed the characters.
7/10 💫
This retelling of Jane Eyre takes place on a #ship—a spaceship! I totally recommend it, by the way. #letstravelaugust
A YA take on Jane Eyre in space...what a fantastic idea! Earth has suffered super volcano eruptions, bringing on an ice age, and humans have taken to the skies, orbiting for centuries until Earth is habitable again. In this midst of this setting, Stella, an orphan aboard the farming ship, sets out to find a better life. It was a fun read #YAL
1. Done! I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this book and loved it
2. Crunchy! They‘re so much better and more flavorful
3. Sunset. It‘s the only one of the two I ever see!
4. Books, chocolate. Does donating count, cause I would donate some. And lay off student loans.
5. I think fifth? I don‘t really remember

It‘s a quick read, with some fun Easter Eggs for Bronte and Jane Eyre fans alike.
YES!!! This was awesome. It is Jane Eyre in space and it is great. I loved it. I think it is a pretty accurate retelling. It is missing things but what it adds in the third act makes up for anything left out. Some things have been changed to give it a freshness that Jane Eyre really needed. I very much recommend this book. Good job to Alexa Donne for creating a work that is beautiful and engaging.

Think Jane Eyre in space!❤📘
Ok I wanted to wait and talk about this book when I was done with it, but I couldn‘t wait! I love it 🥰! The chapter I am on ended with the best line, but I can‘t share it because it would be a spoiler. I love Alexa Donne she has a YouTube channel I watch all the time. I love her writing and her fashion. Thanks Alexa Donne for taking Jane Eyre to space!
#RRSciFiMonth Day 1: (part of my) SciFiMonth TBR. Yes, I‘m late to my own photo challenge party. I‘ll try to be all caught up by the weekend!
At least 3.5. I am a huge mood reader. Times I enjoyed it a bit and others I didn't. It is making me want to have more Jane Eyre retellings. I'm not well read in sci fi, but I did like it. I didnt appreciate the cussing around 10 times. The author also created a curse word to replace the f word. I did enjoy the nods to Jane Eyre. Tried to write the author's name, but it was too messy.

I thought this described cats perfectly. I'm liking the book. I wish the MC made me think of Jane. Am not that far into it.

Jane eyre seems to be having a moment right now in YA and I am loving it. This is a retelling set in space on ships. Some character changes and plot updates but overall it had that Eyre feel.
It‘s been a long work week and I plan to go back in for even more overtime tomorrow (hey more money means more books even if it‘s robbing my reading time a bit right now right?) But for tonight I am going to throw on a face mask and enjoy a bubble bath with my current read. If I‘m feeling real fancy I may even open the wine.
I'm always interested when new retellings are created especially when they fall into YA. This is Jane Eyre...in space. I like these kinds of books because they take the "classics" which we've elevated into some kind of elite status and rework them for today's age. The classics were only ever meant to be stories and retellings help make them accessible again. I enjoyed going through and comparing the two and seeing how it got adapted.
Jane Eyre in space! That is what Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne is. A fabulous retelling of the classic tale. 4 stars! Great for fans of young adult aand romance.
I received this ARC of Brightly Burning by Alexa Done. Just started reading. Good so far. Just need to figure out how to give up the day job so I can read more. 😊
4 ?A quirky and exciting retelling of Jane Eyre and one that is so wonderfully parallel in plot yet entire different. It was a treat to devour and a welcome edition to my Brontë collection. This was a fun book to read & even though I haven‘t read Jane Eyre yet, I know I will soon after reading his out-of-this-world novel. I loved the characters & their involvement with what Space & Earth where like during this time. Overall, I‘m happy with this novel 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spent the evening out in the garden reading with my mum. We don‘t get much time together these days so it was nice to have that time however short. Got a good chunk of Brightly Burning read and I am very much enjoying it! 🖤🖤 #scififantasy #newrelease #bibliophile #bookaddict #booklover #bookstagram #bookblogger #sciencefiction
