This novel is often summarized as the story of a couple forced to take a second wife due to infertility, and yes, but there is SO much more to it. Fascinating look into Nigerian culture, the costs of pride, the secrets we keep, and the tremendous joys and overwhelming heartache of motherhood. The audiobook is wonderful - highly recommend!! (When I discovered the meaning of the title😭😭😭)
Used book store haul❤️❤️❤️
Callie approves! #catsoflitsy
An afternoon spent browsing the aisles at the used book store. Bliss! Bought the tagged book for a dollar, should be a good vacation read!
Reading on the deck w kitty Callie. Nice way to start the day.

My 16 year old daughter is reading Deathly Hallows and crying through the final chapters. JK, you're breaking her heart! Love that these books touch generations of readers❤️❤️❤️
Started this one today, and I'm really enjoying the voice of this damaged MC.

Well, I couldn't very well pass that up, could I?
Snow day means I get the morning to read! Hmm, am I feeling dark & suspenseful or light & amusing?
It's almost my turn!!!
So much for my New Year's book-buying ban🙄 Oh well, at least they were all used/discount.

If you insist on laying across my lap, cat, you're going to have to hold my book.
This lovely book of poetry was my final read of 2017 - reaching my goal of 66 books!!! It's the most I've ever read in a year. Thanks Litsy for all the inspiration ❤️
This charming, funny, sentimental book takes me one step closer to my 2017 reading goals. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Has anyone seen the movie?
1. Underground Airlines by Ben H. Winters
2. The Wanderers by Meg Howrey
3. I only read one : Troublemaker by Leah Remini (maybe need to add nonfiction to my 2018 reading goals??)
4. Caroline Kepnes

My library holds all came in at once - guess I have my reading schedule for the next couple of weeks!
I freely admit to grabbing some short books/graphic novels to hit this year's reading goals, but this book is just FUN! I mean, Ambrosius Goldenloin?
Rereading Station Eleven for Knoxville's Big Read, and remembering just how poigniant and beautiful the writing is.
Enjoying this book-within-a-book whodunnit at a lovely campsite in East Tennessee.
Three books, three bucks. Some older books from my thrift store trip yesterday.
A few books with an #occupationintitle. I haven't read any of these - have you?

I need this shirt!❤️💕
A charming read-in-an-afternoon story about a book wagon (!) And a woman's search for adventure.

Here are siblings Serena and Ravi, getting hair all over my clothes. #internationalcatday. #catsoflitsy
This is on my TBR. Told from multiple viewpoints, one of which is a bull elephant. #AndItsAugust #unusualnarrators
After a couple of heavy-hitters, I'm enjoying this delightful rom-com. Also enjoying a rare cool summer morning reading on the deck!
3 books, 3 bucks. Love my library's used book store😍
Listening to this and the narration by William DeMerritt is SO GOOD. His voice is all smoke and gravel. And the story is chilling.
Wow, wow, wow. So glad I stuck with this one. The writing kept me off-balance for most of the book, but it served the story well. Families, both made and born; the search for belonging; religious extremism, comets, and a wacked-out road trip. A definite pick for me.
