I like Big Books, and here are only a few of my favorites (some multi-volume):
Life A User‘s Manual by Perec
The Raj Quartet by Scott
Buddenbrooks by Mann
Life and Fate by Grossman
My Struggle by Knausgaard (6 vols)
War at the End of the World by Llosa
The Sunne in Splendour by Pennman
The Kindly Ones by Littell
August 1914 by Solzhenitsyn
Palace Walk Trilogy by Mahfouz
Each of these kept me eagerly turning pages, lost in their world.
Saw this on Instagram today and had to repost it. 😍

I do! I do!
I'm a relatively slow reader anyway so I don't worry about how much time a long book will take versus a shorter one. If the book starts to drag or isn't good, I know I can either skip ahead or stop reading, so no pressure.
Besides, a lot of non fiction science, and SFF, require longer page counts. Maybe that's why I don't give much thought to the length of books.

Yes. I love getting lost in a big book, and most of my all time favorites are chuncksters #tuesdaytidbits

Day 5 - #bigbooks #31bookpics
I will probably finish my 200 book goal by the end of October so in November and December I can read some of my Big Books in order to help me with my 100,000 pages goal for this year. So far I have read 71,121 pages and 182 books. I read 4 or 5 books a week so I think I can make both my goals.
A friend of mine posted this on her Facebook. I couldn‘t not share it! #booklove #babygotbook
I missed the first few minutes because I couldn't find the channel and assumed I had missed it. But yay! Loving this! Plus I got to see Pillars of the Earth! One of my most recent read books!
This will forever be #somethingfunny 😂😂😂 #HopIntoSpring @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

I got the idea for this post when I met up with my Nashville Littens earlier this year. @britt_brooke mentioned doing an Infinite Jest buddy read and it got me to thinking about how big books can be challenging. So thanks to her and the rest of the cool women that day for all the great book talk. We need to have another #nashvillemeetup soon!
