I‘m pretty happy with this number given I first set my 2023 challenge at 88 books anticipating a job change & busy year. I upped it mid-year to 100, then 125 & finally to 135 in October where I left it finally. I set my 2024 number to 150, which seems good & round & I probably won‘t be reading quite as many leadership books for work. 🎉📚🎉

Finished my 2022 reading challenge way early! I‘m having a great reading year. We‘ll see how many I can finish this year!

1. Yes, most definitely. I find that with anything if I have a goal, I push myself more.

I completed my #Goodreads challenge yesterday! The way things were going the latter half of 2020 I knew I‘d never make it to 80 books, so a few months ago I changed it to 72 books. A few highlights from this year include giving my first 5⭐️ rating (Uprooted), reading my first audiobook (The Red Threads of Fortune), discovering new-to-me writers & reading more non-fiction and poetry.

I went through my physical shelves, trying to fill as many countries as I could for #readingasia2021, and I have two questions. (1) Does Hong Kong count for China, or does the book have to set on the mainland? (2) I have a historical fiction book that according to Goodreads takes place in Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, & Pakistan. Is it okay to use that book for one of those countries, even though the book is written by a white Englishman?

Question: How many #bookchallenges do you usually do? How many are you planning this year? This year I did #booked2020 and #readharder2020. For next year I'm doing #booked2021 and the #botm one from Facebook. But I'm also looking at the Popsugar and wondering what Read Harder will have this year. Is 3 too much? Is 4 insane??

I created my own “challenge” for 2020 with monthly themes and for the most part, it worked well, giving me just enough structure for when I couldn‘t decide what to read next. I‘m creating a new one for 2021, but I also signed up for #readingasia2021 and #booked2021 because the 2020 versions looked like so much fun, I was a little sad I didn‘t try them. I probably won‘t finish either, but I couldn‘t stand to be left out again. #fomo is real. 🤣🤣

I purposefully set an attainable goal. Everything else is cake. I really don‘t like feeling pressured. I‘m 49 books ahead of schedule. Maybe I can hit 200 this year?! 😅

1. I upped my GR challenge by 5 but have already passed that by 9. 🤣 I‘m also trying to do the monthly #bookspin and #doublespin and am participating in a mystery #LMPBC group and a fiction #LMPBC group.

2. I will probably up my GR challenge again next year and also participate in the #bookspins and #LMPBCs. I tend to like to play it safe. 😊
