From the author of the New York Times bestselling Love & Gelato comes a heartwarming tale of love, adventure, and the true meaning behind the word family. Addie is visiting Ireland for her aunts over-the-top destination wedding, and hoping she can stop thinking about the one horrible thing she did that left her miserable and heartbrokenand threatens her future. But her brother, Ian, isnt about to let her forget, and his constant needling leads to arguments and even a fistfight between the two once inseparable siblings. Miserable, Addie cant wait to visit her friend in Italy and leave her brotherand her problemsbehind. So when Addie discovers an unusual guidebook, Ireland for the Heartbroken, hidden in the dusty shelves of the hotel library, shes able to finally escape her anxious mind and Ians criticism. And then their travel plans change. Suddenly Addie finds herself on a whirlwind tour of the Emerald Isle, trapped in the worlds smallest vehicle with Ian and his admittedly cute, Irish-accented friend Rowan. As the trio journeys over breathtaking green hills, past countless castles, and through a number of fairy-tale forests, Addie hopes her guidebook will heal not only her broken heart, but also her shattered relationship with her brother. That is if they dont get completely lost along the way.

I loved how this book was all about Addie's journey, her character development, rather than a love story. The romance was just hinted at, hardly there at all. I actually wish the book had been longer. When I got to the end, it felt like it was just beginning.

So happy we also get a story for Addie! The sibling bond between her and Ian is so well-crafted, and their mishap filled road trip is just the best. #yalit #yaromance

Love & Luck is the type of book that gets better as you go. I liked it way more at the end than I did at the beginning. I included a couple of my favorite parts of the book. Though they did show up towards the end, I do wish we got to see more of Lina & Ren from Love & Gelato.

I finished this audiobook on 8/31, but didn't get around to posting until now. It was just a bad workweek last week. Thank goodness for a 3 day weekend now. This is book 2 in the trilogy and I enjoyed it. It takes place in Ireland and there isn't a romance involved in this story. It is more about a girl getting over a relationship and her getting back her friendship with her brother while they take an unexpected road trip with a new friend.

This was such a sweet story! I love that the sibling relationship, not the romance, was central, and I love the Irish setting. If you like YA, this is a quick and satisfying read. ♥️🍀

Just the book I needed to read after a lot of heavy material. Light, comforting, and funny, this was a joy to read even up to the early hours of morning. I love Jenna Evans Welch. I can't believe I let myself be talked out of reading Love & Gelato!

⭐: 4

Love & Luck was disappointing—on its own, and as a sequel to Love & Gelato. Addie's secret isn't revealed until very late in the narrative, and then isn't given its due (Ian's reaction becomes understandable, but the overall weight given to the secret is lacking).

Overall the entire story was painfully drawn out with insufficient payoff at the end.

JoyBlue Ian and Addie were whiny, unpleasant characters, to say the least. Neither was redeemed, personality-wise, by the end of the book. Don't even get me started on their irresponsible behavior/adventure. Rowan was my favorite character (if I had to pick one).

Here's my #bookspin list! Basically a bunch of books for my personal challenges that I've been procrastinating on. I'm excited to try the #bookspinbingo. Since I've only been participating for one month, any extra spaces will be books from my June list.

I enjoyed this cute YA book. It wasn‘t as good as her first one, but still fun. I like how she incorporates different countries into her writing. She has a way of really@making you feel like you are there with the characters.

4/5 stars. This book was quirky and adorable. But i felt like the lead up to the big reveal that they hint at the entire book, was not handled the best. I also did not realize that the main characters best friend has her own book that came before this book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED this book! This follows Addie which is the best friend from Lina the main character from Love & Gelato! She is in Ireland with all her family at an aunt‘s destination wedding! Things happen and we meet new characters and follow them through many adventures in Ireland! I just loved everything about this book! I shed a tear or two in some parts and laughed in others.. I can‘t wait for her next book! #theunreadshelfproject2019

A couple of months ago I got accepted into the British Library and Libraries Connected mentoring program; today I finally got to meet my mentor! We spent all morning talking libraries and personal goals over multiple cups of coffee 📚☕️ As an immigrant, it feels amazing to be making strides and gaining more experience! I definitely deserve this super over-the-top bubble bath and sweet summer romance 💕

Book 2 in a series, but could totally stand alone. YA but despite the title, not a romance. The story focused around a close brother-sister duo who are each coming into their own and struggling with some things. A very clean story but dealt with the hard topic that needs to be included regarding current social issues in a technology driven era. I loved that while Addie is the little sister she is the one in-the-know with car maintenance.
