Finished this one last night (I couldn‘t sleep, not sure really why as I was busy all day) But always helpful to have a good book to get lost in :)

This was a good detective novel - my first Grafton (used for Q in #AlphabeticalBingo and #BookSpinBingo and one goal of #20in4 ) - Kinsey is a good MC and her two police side kicks in this one were fun. Kinsey is brought in to help solve a cold case - find out who Jane Doe is and who murdered her - based on a real life case (unfortunately that Jane Doe was never solved).

Here is my July #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks (thanks for hosting) -
Make a great day everyone - 🙂
I've never read a Sue Grafton novel - but realized this would be great for #AlphabeticalBingo - if I like it I might have to hit the X and Y books 🙂
Make a great day everyone - 🌞
The next four Kinsey Millhone books down. The tagged is my favorite of the bunch, but they changed the narrator on book O - I‘m not nuts about how she narrates Henry. She makes him sound too frail for his thriving, fierce octogenarian persona.
This is my favorite Sue Grafton book so far. Probably because the plot is based on a true case of a young woman murdered and her body left in a quarry. The homicide occurred in 1969 and the young woman has never been identified. There are artist sketches of the woman at the end of the book, hoping someone will identify her. Grafton did a great job developing a story about this woman and continued to build Kinsey‘s story too. #MountTBR
I felt like this one was a little long. I did enjoy it but had to re-listen to parts as it didn‘t always keep me engrossed. It was interesting to learn about the real Jane Doe that inspired this story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you thank you @AkashaVampie for the thoughtful gift!!! Can't wait till I get to use them :)

Kinsey is asked to help on a cold case by 2 retired detectives from Santa Theresa. I enjoy the story being told as a report. Kinsey and the detectives do manage to turn up some new information that inspires them with hope they can solve the case.
In 2009 I visited a friend in Santa Barbara and embarked on a reread of Sue Grafton. I got to O by the end of the year, and I got to S by the end of 2010. U came out in 2011. This picture was taken a couple bookshelf reorganizations ago!

Running out of time for #LitsyAtoZ is leading me to cheap solutions (but I've heard good things about Grafton anyway so I'm sure I would have read one of these eventually?)
This audiobook was fine but I didn‘t care for the end. I feel this murder mystery was wrapped up as an afterthought and the two major characters were just left without much follow up.
Chose this to satisfy my #litsyAtoZ challenge. My remaining letters are tough ones: X,V, Q, and P. This one will be audiobook for me.
📙The Quincunx by Charles Palliser. One of my very favorite books ever.

#manicmonday time!
Book: (The) Queen of the Damned
Author: Joe Quesada
TV Show: Queer Eye. It makes me feel better about the ENTIRE WORLD.
Food: quinoa, especially when topped with fake Korean barbecue (or real Korean barbecue, I guess. I've never had the opportunity to try it).
Has anyone read this entire series A-Z? That‘s one of my reading goals!!! #bookwormlife
I only read this because I needed a Q book for my #LitsyAtoZ (recommendations, please!). It was pretty standard as far as crime novels go. #Q✔️
Stepping outside of my James Patterson comfort zone but not ready to let go of my favorite comfort food 😂 🤷♀️
Read this years ago for World Book Night and was genuinely surprised that I enjoyed it. I've never been a mystery reader and lumped the whole genre into plot driven slash 'em ups. Much respect to Grafton and her fantastic cast of characters for teaching me that isn't so. Having just finished A, I wanted to go back and review this one as well. I'll probably never get around to the rest of the series but I am happy to have read these two. #mcpl
#litsyAtoZ still need Q and R recommendations?
Anytime I pull out this big a$$ pillow I mean business!! I want to finish this book before I go to work tomorrow. Wish me luck!!
Starting this one for my #litsyatoz. Great night here in the 'Sip! VERY LITTLE HUMIDITY!!
#MayBookFlowers #StartswithQ This was my #letterQ for #LitsyAtoZ - not a great read, my first time reading Sue Grafton ... not sure why, maybe because I jumped into the middle of a series but I felt detached throughout the story. No desire to continue on or read the back catalogue #somanybookssolittletime
Who says Monday's suck??? I was able to finish my letter Q for #LitsyAtoZ and had time to enjoy another healthy smoothie! This time it was unsweetened almond milk, 🍍,🍓 mango and 🍌 Yum! I was meh about this read, would not want to read any others in the series 😐I probably would not have read this mystery if not for the challenge. I don't think crime procedures are my thing anymore! 21/26 Only 5 more to go!
The book is fine but my smoothie is delicious 😋 Almond milk, bananas, strawberries and one tsp of Nutella! Thinking of you @Simona
Oh no 🙈 peeps, do u see all those bookmarks sticking out??? Help! I'm in the beginning of a #readingslump Those 3 on the right are not cutting it...hoping my Q choice will grab my attention 😫
I absolutely loved this one. Both the author and Kinsey Millhone the central character of this series have matured, I love them. You don't have to read them in order to keep track but it is so enjoyable to see the character develop.
My #favefemalecharacter is definitely Kinsey Milhone. Equipped with her all-purpose indestructible black dress and fueled by QP w/ cheese, she'll take on any case, often at her own peril. Quarry is particularly interesting, as it was inspired by a real-life missing person case. #augustphotochallenge @TheSpinecrackersBookClub
