Finished this one yesterday! I loved learning more about Kinsey's family. I wonder how that will unfold. Can't wait to get to K :)

This was over of my favorites so far. We found out a little more about Kinsey‘s family and the case she is working in was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The hard thing about death is that nothing ever changes. The hard thing about life is that nothing stays the same.
Kinsey is hired to investigate the re-appearance of a man originally declared dead for an insurance payout to the widow. This is also the one where Kinsey discovers she has family other than her deceased parents and the aunt who raised her. Re-reading this also reminded me how dangerous the 1980s could be — if you had car trouble you had to walk miles to the nearest gas station or pay phone, as Kinsey does. I‘ve had to do that too 😓
Too much on my mind these days, so here I am again with Kinsey 🕵️
(This is a continuation of my re-read project of this series).
I loved the side plot dealing with Kinsey‘s family. I‘m interested to see where that goes. The mystery in this one was a nice change of pace, too, with the case starting as more of a missing persons case.
This is my first book finished for #bookspinbonanza.
I‘ve been reading a lot of shorter books lately, so I‘m nearly done with #litsyatoz ! Anyone have recommendations for J? I‘m doing a combination of title and last name so either is fair game :)
Gradually working my way through the Sue Grafton alphabet. Kinsey investigates the disappearance of a con man who has recently been declared dead. As usual, she gets into some precarious situations. We also learn a bit more about Kinsey‘s family. #MountTBR
Sometimes, all you need is a quiet Sunday where you do nothing but read a book start to end. That‘s how I spent my Sunday. ***EDIT: I‘m still reading A Complicated Kindness. I just took a break from it today. #sorrynotsorry
The best I have read in the series. Gives details about Kinsey‘s past and introduces her to some family members. Excellent story and very well written.
I made it to the 10th book in the series! 😳 This story ended up flat for me. I didn't enjoy the resolution although I did like the introduction of Kinsey's extended and so far unknown family and her struggle to cope with the news and potential relationships. I'm excited to see where that goes! #Booked2019 #FemaleDetective

I think one of my favorite things about Kinsey Millhone is her crush on Henry, the landlord. Every time he's mentioned, all I picture is Paul Newman, and who doesn't love him??? ☺☺☺
I'm late for my date with Kinsey Millhone... lol, this is due in 7 days! No rush...

Book: Jane, Unlimited
Author: N.K. Jemisin
TV Show: Jessica Jones (except CRAP, I should've said Jane the Virgin, what is WRONG with me)
Food: jalapeño poppers

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I loved this one. After a couple of slow movers, Grafton was back on track with this installment. On to K! #atoyreread
EDIT: One thing I‘ve noticed since the start and continues to bug me - the body shaming. See my GR review for more, if you‘re interested, but in this book in particular, a 140lb, 5‘10 woman is “a big woman”. IN WHAT UNIVERSE?!
My reading companion was rather put out that I had both hands on my book and was not petting her, and let me know it by whining softly and giving me the stink eye. Guess who is reading one-handed now? 😂❤️🐶 #Twinkle #dogsofLitsy
And she thought the environment was bad in 1993... 😔 #atoyreread #quotsy
Current view. I‘ve been bouncing back and forth between my ebook and physical copy...my ereader is easier to haul back and forth to work and I don‘t have to worry about the cover getting damaged.
(Hearing a lot of “pew pew pew” in the background😂- hubs is playing Battlefield II.) #gamerwife #atoyreread
I did it! I finally joined LT and scanned my first book! I have no idea what I‘m doing (I used the phone app and it comes with zero instruction) but I‘ve taken the leap. 💪🏻
I‘m PenguinInFlight on there as well. ☺️#LitsytoLT
Woke up with chest cold symptoms. 😝Currently doped up on DayQuil, covered in Breathe Again essential oils, and curled up on the couch. 😷🤧 My husband has been keeping the tea with honey and lemon coming. ❤️❤️ #atoyreread
If I remember correctly (and I‘m pretty sure I do), this one is REALLY good. 🙌🏻 #quotsy #atoyreread
I just realized I had a first edition copy of J is for Judgement! 🤗❤️(Really feeling the 90‘s vibes from the hot pink and neon orange print on the front. 😂 It was released in 1992.)
Ok that was pretty entertaining! And the blurb is sort of spot on...😂 thanks @RestlessFickleBookSlut
Well I knew that. That's why I don't judge by covers and always read the blurbs as well.

Thanks for sharing @Marchpane and @monkeygirlsmama
Another obvious choice for #AndItsAugust #StartswithJ but I love the Alphabet Novels so much!
@RealLifeReading
A very nice and entertaining read. It was mysterious and full of suspense and unexpected twists and turns.
Brilliantly written. Kinsey is my favourite fictional character, just the way she is portrayed makes me proud of being a woman.
Somewhere off the coast of Mexico... TFW you think someone is #missing but he's not. #maybookflowers
#youbethejudge for #BotM: I would make a great judge because I have my own personal Rory Gilmore to help me! #dogsoflitsy #rorygilmore #gilmoregirls
I'm still nostalgic about this series but it is a very flawed series. I love the mystery that unfurls in this one though #LitsyAtoZ
I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to everyone who, like me, doesn't have enough hours left in the day to complete #24in48 but still keeps reading. You are awesome.
Literally unable to complete #24in48. It is currently. 9.30am and I have more than 15hrs to go. Time doesn't work like that sadly. I'm going to nap since I've been awake since 3am but I'll try to continue when I wake up. I tried so hard but all the technical issues yesterday and going out for a new phone just didn't help.
Sue Grafton makes it a great treat to read, this one was awesome. So now on to "K is for Killer" these are great comfort reads.
She actually said teehee, it really tickled my funny bone.
