I dont even know how to express my feelings about this one. A story about Tennesse Williams and his assistant/lover Frank Merlo as well as a Swedish actress they meet one week in Italy. I loved that we got to follow Tenn/Frank/Anya in Italy, Tenn/Frank at the time of Frank's illness and Anya in her 70's and the secret script of Tenns she has kept hidden for years. Great historical fiction!

Im so glad I picked this book from @Tiffanywrites2 list of books. Not only was it super enjoyable but I loved the characters and the world Nnedi Okorafor created. I cant wait to read the next one. Sunny has always been unique, shes albino but once she learns shes a free agent, she is introduced to a whole new world and is assigned a task that might get her and her friends killed. #newyearwhodis

First book of the year finally finished and glad it's starting with such a bang. I loved this wonderful story about friendship and survival. Rome, Lux and Mercy are from Cottonwood Hollow, a small town with talented girls. As their lives become more complicated, the girls must learn how to lean on each other and trust that they will always have each other.

Starting my new years off right and reading this February release. Have to say im really into it. A young girl in Paris 1887 who writes anonymously for the papers morgue column who has these visions of the victims before they die. Love this interesting spin on historical fiction.

This book is Chewy approved! A great story about growing up, figuring yourself out and just how important friendship is. I really enjoyed this one. I really loved that Sebby and Jeremy were gay but that wasnt the focus of the story. It just seemed normal. If you've slept on this one, pick it up it really is great! #sleeperreads

This book was picked for me this month by my goodreads book club. Im actually really excited to read it. I've never read any Joyce Carol Oates before but I'm always down for anything marilyn monroe!

Of course now I am somewhat out of my #readingslump but I have to write two 10 page papers in 2 weeks. Grad school always seems to get in the way of my reading 🤷‍♀️

A story about 3 teens, one struggling with depression, one a closeted gay guy and one who has something mysterious in his past. This is a story about how complicated love and friendships can change your life. I am loving it so far, especially because it is set in New Jersey!

This was such an amazing book that kept me up way too late reading. The stories of these 6 teens will stay with me for quite sometime. Such an interesting look into violence, especially gun violence among teens. A must read!

Decided to try and end my reading slump by starting the newest Ellen Hopkins. Hopefully one of my favorite authors can break this slump.

Spending some time with two of my favorite superhero badasses Black Canary and Zatana!

It was okay. Too much build up to a sub par ending. I didn't guess who did it but it also didn't seem very believable either.

This book was okay. Not the greatest retelling of Robin Hood ever told. There was some gender swapping that I felt didn't always work. Some characters were reimagined. Idk. I kept waiting for the story to dive into stealing from the rich to help the poor and that felt like a subplot. It mainly felt like it was about falling in love. Plus there was weird incest vibes. This one just didn't do it for me and makes me sad bcuz I was so excited for it.

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. A story about an ex villian and a pro superhero who team up to save their city? The book is filled with great villians, side characters and action. If you love superhero movies or comics I highly suggest picking this up!

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. There were some good parts and some that were just bad. It was almost too twisty and some parts seemed super random to just try and throw in a twist. Either way im glad I read it but also glad to be done with it.
