Oh boy yeah no. This was a big disappointment. Had such potential but the execution was...wrong. that was a hot mess unsatisfying ending that also left me with no interest in reading a sequel? I'm assuming there is a sequel coming but it isn't labeled as a series anywhere that I can find. There's no development of the science/magic and very blah characters. I just started skimming for the last 1/4

I've heard really mixed things about this one so I picked up my copy from the library. Shall see how it goes...

A young adult murder mystery novel set in Paris 1800s. Nathalie is our main character who starts to have visions of how women are brutally murdered by a serial killer. Could these visions help solve the case? I loved the character development, writing style, and characters. I could not put down Spectacle. Releases on 2/12/19!

Starting my new years off right and reading this February release. Have to say im really into it. A young girl in Paris 1887 who writes anonymously for the papers morgue column who has these visions of the victims before they die. Love this interesting spin on historical fiction.

I liked this a lot. A girl in Paris in the 1880s discovers she has a special ability which may help solve a series of murders.
