Oh look, who just finished a book at 4:30 AM and can't sleep? Me! Me! Me!

TabbyGibby The first time I read this book I expected to read just a chapter before bed. I stayed up until 5:30am when I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. I was up reading by 8am to finish it. Still one of my favorite series to reread. 6y
justagirlhighonbooks @TabbyGibby Yes! This has happened with me everytime I've read this. (It's the third time now, xD) I read the entire trilogy in 3 days for the first time.🙈 6y

I just finished reading this and it is a great read. I just loved reading about Fransesca's life and her struggles even though she was a tad bit irritating at points. I mean, what was the obsession of hiding the truth? And not just she, but Wolfe excelled in that, too. Why? 😐

Yet, I loved the book. I'd rate it a 4.5/5 so you just know you can try it out.🤭

I finished this book last night and enjoyed it a lot. Dubliners is a collection of short stories set in Ireland and I really enjoyed going through them. My personal favourite was the story, Eveline which was based on the life og Eveline. I also liked The Sisters, which was the first story in the book.

A definite #must.

jy0tiar0ra Thanks for the review. I have it stored on my Kindle. Will try to read it soon now 6y
justagirlhighonbooks @jy0tiar0ra oh you should definitely try! I personally loved it.😁😁 6y
Swe_Eva My favorite is "The Dead," but it may be partly because of the wonderful John Huston film version. 6y
justagirlhighonbooks @Swe_Eva I like The Dead, too. And particularly Gretta. She is such a strong character.😍 6y

This book had a rather unusual story of time. Despite being a self help book, the story struck me. It was more of like a fiction book trying to give a lesson and in a way, it gave a lesson alright. What it failed to do was attract my attention as a book. Badly edited, I didn't feel like reading it half the time. The narration wasn't engaging. That kind of thing.

First off, I loved the cover of this book. It is just so pretty.🙈

Secondly, the story is mind-blowing. This is the story of Shui and how things in her life finally make sense when Anya arrives. (Or do they really fall apart?) With Anya in her life, things are different now. Shui is unlike any other teenager in her class. She is tall and lanky. She has dyslexia and cannot read properly. And now Anya explains why.
It's amazing. Definitely #rec.

Another Goosebumps that I read this year. They are always so fun! And this one was as well. I so want to start on with the next book in the series but considering my TBR pile, I just might have to wait some more.

Anyway, a definite #recommended #MiddleGrader. But of course, you probably already know that.🤭

This was the 2nd book by Agatha Christie I read, only after And Then There Were None and I have to say that I was a "little" disappointed. Like the name suggests, it was about a sleeping murder, i.e., a murder that happened 18 years ago. But was that really a murder? Or was there nothing to investigate at all? Aah, you can read it out but I guess the other Christie novels would be better.?

Aah, I read another Goosebumps for #24in48. And I'm on a roll with them.?
This was another crazy R.L. Stine story and I enjoyed the "Hairy Halloween" a lot. R.L. Stine has a very different way to write but it is fit for middle graders who want a little spookiness in their life. I think I might be picking up more of them now.?

Finishing 14 hours of #24in48 with my 5th book.
It was a great novel and I really enjoyed reading it. The only thing I didn't like was that it was maybe too descriptive for my taste. At times, it got a little boring and dragged a little. It was too predictable as well. Hm, I'm not sure what should I rate it.🤔

Who out of us did not love a little Goosebumps as kids? Recently, I found these books with a friend and got nostalgic just looking at them. I borrowed one and decided to read it up for #24in48. Perhaps, it would make a quick read.
And it did. And also a great one. I love R.L. Stine's work and I found this book amazing. Definitely a #rec.

The Witch's Reward | Liz McCraine
Mehso-so

The Witch‘s Reward was a cute, clean romance of a witch, supposed to be executed after the trial, and a prince whose father was the judge of whether to let her live or not. Honestly though, the story was more or less about their journey through the forest, from when the prince captured Larra, the witch and took her to the palace. There were a few incidents from the palace itself, but that was all. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ah, what can I say about this book? Anything that I say will be less. I'll be honest though. I loved this book. For the most part of it, I wanted to give it a 5 star but then, the ending sort of bummed me. The strong independently Sayuri I had come to meet turned out to be a rather narrow-minded person.

Yet, I'd definitely#recommend this book to you. If you can, then definitely pick it up. It was a beautiful read!❤️

I started reading this book because I'd heard a lot about Meg Cabot and I had fairly nice expectations from her. Needless to say, Queen of Babble not just burst those expectations, it also bored me to death. The only people I liked in this one were Chaz and Shari and believe it or not but the protagonist, Lizzy was one of the worst characters ever. No development at all!

I also ended up finishing this book. Within a total of 2 hours and 24 minutes, I finished two books. Of course, they were both quite short reads so I won't say that it was a huge achievement but the fact that #24in48 has gone well for me for more than 2 hours is great. I just hope my stopwatch doesn't pan out on me.

In any case, this was a good book and I think I can recommend it to you if you're need of some Christmas.❤️

This was a confusing book and I'm not sure what I think about it. The blurb says that it has POEMS but I found nothing but sentences and the message of half of them was a little unclear to me. Ah, alright. What can I say about this one? Well, okay, let me try. It's a conversation. In the crudest of terms, and the most basic of all languages, this book is a conversation. Sounds strange, doesn't it? But it is true. This book is a conversation between the author and the reader and it is about how our place and our lives today are in a lot of need of transformation.

A wonderfully unusual story! I'd recommend it to every sci fi fan. It was sci-fi mix with tech and although, the writing style could be improved upon a little, it was still a good book. The only thing I didn't like was how it was just an introduction to the entire series.

Algedonic | r.h. Sin
Mehso-so

Divided into two parts, particularly pain and pleasure, Algedonic is a collection about 2 things--things a person received when he/she is in love—pain and the pleasure. The emotions and feelings in each poem were imminent and I could actually feel what the author wanted to talk about. Most of this stuff was relatable and it was a miracle I didn't fall in love with Sin after reading this.

review
justagirlhighonbooks
Mehso-so

Rest in the Mourning was a decent poetry book. The ideas discussed were pretty nice but many of them were quite old. Sin merely rephrased them to suit his needs. I didn't like that last part of it. Nor did I like the part that there was next to no punctuation used. I don't understand why contemporary poets think that they can simply let go of all sort of punctuation! It irritates the hell out of me. 😤

A hilarious book, even though it was a little irritating at times. I had thought the author would want us to love the protagonist for his compulsive disorder to create jokes but it was so great to find out that the author was instead asking us to hate this!

Yet, wasn't that great. I had higher expectations.
