August Fiction #ReadingBracket2024 Update
This month created the battle of the Rowlands, with Running Close to the Wind ultimately moving on in the ranks. Both were delicious but the way Running had me cackling from all the hijinks 🤣
Also, The Pairing obviously had to make a wild card appearance, I loved it sm 💖
pickLove casual Amy! Highly recommend the audiobook. Sometime when I'm sitting around being lazy as hell, I think of Leslie embroidering pillows of her friends' faces in what seems like an evening. It should be inspiring, but usually it just makes me want to re-watch Parks & Rec. 😉 🌺
pickThis is a really lovely, funny, charming, moving book. It conveys the messiness and overwhelming stress of grief so well. The bit where he talks about getting inexplicably angry at, and stressed out by, apparently minor things, and people thinking you're just being cranky and unreasonable, felt particularly relatable. And his description of the last text message his dad sent him is, however inappropriately, hilarious.

The shop at the #Globe was amazing! I got these really cute graphic novels that also include some educational material suitable for kids. Much Ado about Nothing, the sticker, card and blue magnet is a birthday present for a friend. The rest is all for me. I got the dying Ophelia poster from #TateBritain.

pickI loved the premise of this book and I really enjoyed reading it but I did think it was going to be a little bit funnier.
Orla in the kitchen is both an absolute delight and complete menace - long may she devise the castle menu!
