I continue to enjoy this. I didn‘t expect the small time jump between the previous volume and this one, but it made sense. The plot twists in this volume were also unexpected. I find the personal motivations of Prince Robot IV to be interesting. I don‘t know what to expect for the next volume, considering it seems like he has abandoned his original goals, probably as an effect of being shot in the previous volume. A very compelling story!

I have been so pokey about reading these. The art is beautiful. There is this odd mix of adorable characters and really violent scenes. Somehow it works.

Other than Tom King's Mister Miracle, I can't think of a sci-fi story that presents a more realistic depiction of parenthood. I really like how the story keeps pitting one set of parents against another with everyone trying to protect their own children, but potentially harming others.

This volume was extremely good, my favourite since the first one.

There's a lot of creative ideas and interesting plot twists.

I won't reveal anything about the content because everyone should be able to experience the story for themselves. 4⭐️

CuriousG I love Saga! Every time a new volume comes out I re-read the entire series. Enjoy all the ones to come 😊 2y
TheNeverendingTBR @CuriousG How many Volumes is there? I have 1-9 and I assumed that was them all? 2y
CuriousG There are 10 complete volumes out, and I believe volume 11 will be complete and released in October. 2y

Fireside SAGA tonight!

I love first person narrators because you can‘t fully trust them, and Hazel is one of my favourites because she KNOWS that. She takes her extensive knowledge of how stories work and has a blast manipulating the reader with double meanings and foreshadowing designed to mislead. She never lies to us, but what we hear isn‘t always what she‘s said. It‘s glorious. I love it so damned much.

The Saga continues, with more gorgeously illustrated plot unspooling in a fast-paced engrossing manner amid much violence, cursing, nudity and important insights into humanity. 🚀

Bks5,6,7&8 of December & #WinterGames2021 are done. I finished these on Wednesday just haven‘t posted yet coz family🤷🏻‍♀️I read these as ebooks in Scribd, would‘ve read more but they yanked the rest while I was reading these! Worst thing about that site🙄Love these scifi GN. This installment felt super short and I'm not sure a whole lot happened, but what did happen seemed to be a lot of major events that are causing big shifts in the narrative. It's a bit of a different feel than the prior issues, but there's a lot of core storywork in these pages and I think they really help to make the characters feel more real. It's a slow burn of a series, but it's a good one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This volume was really good. I think I enjoyed this one so much more because it really brought out the struggles we face in marriage and relationships. How easy it is to fall into someone else arms when we feel lonely or low in our lives. This one felt more human to me if that makes sense. Not to mention all the illustrations are absolutely beautiful.

Finishing day 1 of #24in48 with a little over 14 hours. I'm disappointed I didn't finish more books, but pleased with my time. Waking up unintentionally at 4 AM may have helped in the beginning, but towards the end of the afternoon I was wasting away. I'm hoping tomorrow to read another volume of Saga because Volume 4 made me want to go to my shelf & devour them all 😍. Also hoping to FINISH more books & not spend my whole day on one or two 😬.

Ohhhh that last page sent chills up my spine, and made me mad I don't have vol 5 to continue tonight. Interesting new characters introduced (and killed in some cases), more angles shown to the ongoing war between Landfall and Wreath, and I love the badass trio of Gwen, Sophie and Lying Cat. 4 💥💥💥💥 1/2 out of 5.

It's such an effort not to race through the volumes but I really don't want this to end so I'm doing my best to draw the experience out. This is very much against my nature!

Vol. 4 develops all the strands of the story with the usual twists & turns. If I had one complaint it would be that I'm getting used to something utterly outrageous happening that I'm waiting for it. But when it comes it's never anything my pitiful brain coulda conceived of!
