Nancy faces danger, and Bess plays Cupid. Secrets galore in this one. A fast read.

Book 16 finished last weekend for NancyDrewBR so I‘ll try to remember my thoughts for the review.😵‍💫I remembered quite a bit about this book from reading it in childhood so I know I read it more than once. I think I was drawn by the creepy Persian cat on the cover (a “titan” one to match Nancy‘s hair) & of course the tap dancing. There‘s quite a few thrills & chills in this one so spoiler alert for my comments below ⬇️

I think this has to be one of my favorites. Plenty of eye-rolling moments and a few laughs. As always, it requires a suspension of disbelief to get past all the coincidences and I‘m going to leave myself notes under a spoiler tag for #nancydrewbr discussion. We got more Hannah, and more Carson Drew and the boyfriends than usual and the boys were delightful. Definitely entertaining and worth the time spent reading.

@bookandbedandtea I was willing to let Nancy slide visiting someone‘s home at 9:00 PM in The Haunted Bridge. And I recall in The Mystery of the Ivory Charm, she interrupted someone‘s dinner at a restaurant. BUT calling on the phone after 11:00 PM? 😱 No No No No! I think we found the one thing that Nancy is NOT perfect at! 😂

I‘m going to see if I can track down a copy of the 1930s version of this book to see what the differences are. This one seemed a bit disjointed to me, but it has lots of Persian cats so it has that going for it! 😁 Is anyone keeping track of how many times Nancy almost dies or gets seriously injured in these books? 😆 So fun. 🐈‍⬛

Yesterday, was quite a busy day for me. So I didn‘t get as much read. Swim class for kiddos, my niece came back from her honeymoon and told me all about Hawaii, and it was one of my besties birthdays! I did finish my #LitsySciFiBookClub story and reviewed it, and read my serial reads. Early this morning I caught up my Tress pages and tried to do the same for the tagged. Today my goal is to catch up! #JubilantJuly @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Another successful day for #JubilantJuly Tomorrow I should finish a week of Bible reading. I‘m 74% done with #LitsySciFiBookClub to hopefully finish today. I started 2 more physical reads. The Manga I‘m planning to finish today. Still love Tress and glad I‘m reading it slowly. @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Mysterious tapping and a cat thief plague a sweet old woman. Nancy‘s on the case!

On a side note, I‘m not a huge fan of these style of covers - they just doesn‘t seem as attractive as the covers of the first several books.

Another Nancy Drew book finished and I really enjoyed it! It's been fun reading this series for the first time while my mom is revisiting it 😊

Other than the weird, kind of creepy cover this is a good one. Nancy and the gang are after a catnapper, who may or may not be the mysterious tapper running amok in the house of an aging actress. Mystery and hi-jinx ensue.

Then she saw why Nancy stopped so abruptly. An exquisite Persian kitten was wobbling across the road! “Oh!” Bess cried out. “I‘m glad you didn‘t hit the poor thing. Isn‘t it #darling?”
