Book read in July🤷🏽♀️In this series , I have different editions😬
Answering questions made in #InDeathLong Reading #IDLR (6 months ago😳) I‘m like @TheAromaOfBooks I knew who he did it but that happened close when author revealed who was it. There were clues in that interview with him. I liked this book better it was a fast pace but I still think Roarke likes to control, is pushy and manipulative😐I don‘t how open is their relationship⬇️
August 28 #AboutABook You've Re-read I don't usually reread books. But I am rereading The In Death series with my co-host @StayCurious
#TheLongInDeathReadathon @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Not sure why it took me so long to pick up the second book in this series. A great futuristic mystery/thriller. Really enjoying Eve as a main character.

A couple weeks behind the #InDeathLongReadalong , but I wanted to finish last month‘s book this weekend!
I really like watching Eve become more comfortable with her feelings and being with Roarke. He definitely has issues too, but it seems like they balance each other well. Good mystery with lots of suspense and a nail biting conclusion. I‘m really enjoying this series so far. On to book 3!
I'm a little behind in posting this. This 2nd in the series was actually better than the 1st. And og course because this one was also written in the 90's there are a few editions. So more bi go's spots for me. I'm still working on January #ISPYBINGOJANUARY. A feather is a writing tool even if, in this case, it wasn't used for that. The edition I read has a car on it, which in the books do fly, taking as a plane for #ISpyBingoFebruary. #SeriesLove24
#ReadingWithMaja #SeriesChallenge I must say that the In Death Series is one of my favorite, so for February, I'm picking Glory In Death. The second in the series and because I am co-hosting the #InDeathLongReadathon with @StayCurious because we want to re-read this series. @maich
#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 2 was all about the media and powerful women being silenced. But one woman stands for them and ultimately catches the killer. I enjoyed this book better than the first - I liked seeing Eve accept aspects of her romance with Roarke and start to acknowledge aspects of her past. A couple of questions or conversation starters:⬇️.
It‘s already the end of February and tomorrow we‘ll be discussing what we thought of Book 2 in the #InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR - how did everyone like having just two check-ins? Did it make you less motivated to keep up? We will be starting book three in March. Let me know if you want to stay with us! @LiseWorks
The end of the month snuck up on me. 🫣

February 24 #LuckyInLove Heartthrob This is mine from J.D Robb description of Roarke. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Feb 15 Check-in: I won‘t put up a chapter summary but will point those who are interested to the In Death Wiki Fandom page (google that) - it has a ton of great info and a chapter play by play for each book. I thought in this check in we can discuss what we‘re liking, disliking, and who we think is a prime suspect. If you‘ve finished the book please no spoilers!
#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Feb 15 Check-in: I hope those of you who have been reading our second book are enjoying the story so far! It‘s a great mystery that starts with the death of a prosecuting attorney that Eve knew and respected. Eve dives head first into the case but, as usual, things are not all sunshine and roses in her personal life. She and Roarke, her billionaire lover, are struggling, and it weighs heavily. ⬇️ see post two
#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR #ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I still like the character of Eve Dallas and I find her relationship with Roarke a bit more believable in this book than in the first one. If I were casting the movie or TV show, I know who I‘d cast as Roarke. The actor‘s name is Franc Luz and I saw him as the detective on Broadway in City of Angels. Good show. Other roles I‘ve seen him in are as Jonny Depp‘s father in Don Juan (cont)⬇️
Does anyone else not want to adult today? I just want to sit in my chair playing games on my iPad and listen to this audiobook.
I am behind but have time to catch up before out mid month check in. I really like the moment that just happened so I wanted to acknowledge it.

Hey #IDLR #BuddyReaders. The second book in the series for February is Glory In Death. We will be having two check points this time instead of the chapter a day. The first 10 chapters on February 15th and the rest on February 29. Remember, this series contains lots of triggers for certain readers. Please join us and let us know if you would like to be added to this #BuddyRead. @StayCurious or me @LiseWorks
#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR We‘ll be reading and discussing book 2 in the series this month and rather than posting every day, we‘ll try a discussion twice during the month: Feb 15th after 10 chapters and Feb 29th after the rest. I found these trigger warnings on StoryGraph. If you can‘t make out this image, you can check them on their site. Pretty much the same as bk 1. Please let me know if you want to be taken off our main tag list. @LiseWorks
So the story unfolds and I really love the relationship between Eve and Roarke and I hope that it continues I really like their dynamic as it relates to the overall process of Eves work great read 🙌🏽😊
Checked out the first three In Death mysteries and have had the most fun revisiting them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First In Death book read in many years but was a really enjoyable read and the early stages of Dallas and Rourke‘s relationship. Must not leave it so long before I move onto book 3.
Book 22 for #JumpStart2022
Many years since I read book 1 in the In Death series but finally picked up book 2, which I am listening to on the commute.
#JumpStart2022
Finally getting around to reading this series. I‘ve started it sooo many times. I really want to get caught up next year!
Two down...
#currentlyreading + I‘m also listening to the audiobook because the narrator Susan Ericksen is fantastic. So glad I started this series!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #romantsy
I definitely didn‘t enjoy this book as much as I did the first one - it was all I could do to finish. The plot was boring, the killer‘s actions at the end ridiculous. And the way the protagonist was portrayed by the audio reader didn‘t match what I had in my head. She gave Eve a particularly bitchy edge that just didn‘t sit right with me. So when you have a lousy story that isn‘t read to your liking, the rating isn‘t going to be too high. Bummer.
Eve Dallas investigates the murders of several high profile women.
This second book was much better than the first. Eve was still kick-ass and Roarke was less of a control freak. Some of the sex scenes were a little cringeworthy though. Rating: 4 🌟
Finally getting around to reading the Eve Dallas series, though I've been a fan of Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb/Jayne Castle for years. I'm liking them so far and they're pretty quick reads. 😃
Today feels like a good day to visit old friends :) I need to get the entire series on audio books for road trips.
Who are your favorite book character or road trip books?
Detective Delia Peabody, a side character in the ‘In Death‘ series and partner to Eve Dallas, has great comebacks.
#plans #quotsynov17 @TK-421
A great follow up to the first in the series! I'm definitely hooked. The crime in this one had a good number of twists and red herrings. I suspected the killer early on and then got thrown off the scent before it circled back around, the pacing was great. I get a real kick out of the futuristic aspect of the series! And I still ♥️ Roarke. 😍
2 down, 44 to go! Ha! #romantsy
Really good. Fast paced and interesting. I did figure out who the bad guy was before the reveal, but that didn't bother me too much.
I am curious, after the ending, to see how the author maintains the relationship between Dallas and Rourke through so many books. It seems to me it might get old, fast.
My Read list is equal to my To-Read list!
It won't stay that way for long since i'm adding books to read everyday lately... 😂
(I'm ashamed of having only read 88 books when my litsy timeline have so many great people having resolutions of reading over a 100! 😂😂 Hoping to catch up to you all someday!)
PERSONAL REMINDER: "Eve, your self-worth has always been focused on your job. Now a relationship has forced you to begin evaluating yourself as a woman...". "...Doing the job was it, all of it...It‘s still important, but it‘s not all anymore.” “I would say, Eve, that you‘ll be a better cop, and a better woman because of it. Single focus limits us...A healthy life needs more than one goal, one passion.” “Then I guess my life‘s getting healthier."
This book has been read so much it's falling apart. Pages keep sliding out. Library needs a new copy.
