I did it! But I forgot to take a picture… so I‘m posting a pic of my sister‘s hyggeligt space & cat (you can‘t see it all clearly, but lots of pillows & blankets!) 😉. I participated in #hyggehour with y‘all last night, reading Inland.

I also finished my #SeasonalCozies pick for January yesterday (meh 2.5 ⭐️).

And in searching for hygge images, I discovered this candle I must have and this podcast I must check out!

We‘re being asked to stay inside more again in the UK, as Covid and the seasonal bugs are increasing, so this year I‘m making a determined effort to create/be hygge. I have blankets, a fire, Lo-Fi tunes, candles, dogs a glass of wine and of course a book. I will embrace the autumn, the cold, the rain and just enjoy my home and what I have.

A quick book. Doesn't explain in depth about hygge, but does provide the means to setting the ambiance.

Nothing to see here. It has things like vague instructions on making paper snowflakes and advice to take winter beach walks. In good conscience I cannot even count this toward my yearly reading. I‘m moving on to a book about death cleaning which I hope has some substance.

My bit of morning hygge: coffee, a sleepy Skippy on my lap, flannel shirt, apple candle burning, and ready to finish my Jim Jones book.

After a long week I am settling into the Canada Day long weekend with a book about hygge and this fluffy dog. Wishing you all a happy Canada Day and just a lovely, lovely weekend. May the writing be with you!

Another from this afternoon. Book 3 of the #pantlessreadathon. I liked this one. It's short, and covers some basics in craft, thought, coziness, recipes, etc. It's almost a So-so (it's light on info depth), but would make a great holiday gift along with some candles and the ingredients for a recipe or something.
