Up next for my book club. This is not a genre I love, but I‘m trying to go into it with an open mind. 💙

Just bobbing around from park to park with my still-delightful book (which also takes a serious look at marital difficulties, in amongst all the fun bits). The Jardin Botanique de France was especially nice.

I absolutely bought this beer because of Jean Cocteau, and it‘s actually delightful. Yay! So is this madcap murder mystery from Alexis Hall. It‘s jam packed with references and oh, how I‘ve GIGGLED at it so far. Gonna read another big chunk while I finish the beer.

Book 7 in the series. A tv show/crew is coming to the knitting shop to film a tv show. And of course one of the students is murdered. This one was a real who dunnit. I was surprised by who the killer was. I really like this series. It makes me want to learn to knit, but let‘s be honest, I‘ll be just as bad as Lucy!

Book 6 in this series. Violet is a fortune teller at the fair and keeps giving people bad but true fortunes. One of the people she gave a fortune to dies at the fair and now Violet is under suspicion. They‘re all accusing her of being a witch (she is). So Lucy needs to find the killer to save her cousin.

Saffron, a city girl from DC, inherits her uncle's chicken farm in Hawaii. While getting the place ready to sell she encounters- and solves- several mysteries. This is the first in a series so we're introduced to a lot of people in town and given the lay of the land. I'll probably read the next one.

A soft pick but an improvement on the last book. Two mysteries take place in this one. One is fully solved while the second needs some more details given to us.

This was a fun fantasy, heartwarming, and charming albeit a bit hokey for my tastes. Kindness should be the way of the world and we should all have a friend like Caz.
