I love The Storygraph and all the ways to view my year in books. My media percentage is pretty equal between audio, ebook and print.

Fun bits from Goodreads Year in Books. I enjoyed all of these very much. 🤓
#januarystats. Pretty impressed with the fact that most of my reads were female!
Okay, last one.
Out of the 60 books I read in 2019, as usual, the vast majority of them were fiction. I borrowed 75% of them and read mostly ebooks. (Libby 🙌🏽)
My personal library and tbr, the last time I checked, consisted of about a 50/50 split of male and female authors. This isn‘t something I pay much attention to during the year (if a book sounds good, I‘ll read it regardless of the author‘s gender), but it is interesting to ⬇️
Here are some stats on my star ratings. The green one is my star distribution for the books I read in 2019. The red one is my average star rating over the past five years. My average star rating in 2019 was 3.42 stars, the lowest it‘s been the past five years. I was a little stingy with my five stars last year, and I was less selective about the books I read, so those both probably contributed to that.
I had some fun making graphs of my 2019 reading stats. Only a few posts worth, I promise. 😅
So here are my books, pages, and average pages per book for the past five years. I joined Litsy in September 2017 and it shows. My books and pages per year increased a lot after that point. My average pages per book has been decreasing though, but I‘m planning on reading some bigger books this year, so hopefully I‘ll bring that average up a bit for 2020.
A crappy collage of the cool stats available on #LibraryThing. Not super splashy but I can see information about my reviews, the height of my books read if I stacked them (mine is currently a little higher than the Taj Mahal, but I haven't entered a book since 2018.) author gender and there's a beta feature for author nationality. Also, BADGERS. There are other stats as well.
February #wrapup! All in all a pretty good reading month for me, & I revisited a series I loved when I was a kid - The Cat Who series. My 5 ⭐ reads were Beauty Queens and Harry Potter. All female authors this month! #februarywrapup
#Theyearofnowhitemen is going well, but I'm noticing a trend of reading mostly white women authors, which is not what I was going for. Any recommendations on POC authors, especially male or non-binary authors?
I spent the morning compiling my 2018 stats into my bullet journal! I know it‘s not super clear in the photo, but I‘ve broken it down to reading medium (print is in the lead, barely), star rating (I gave a LOT of 4 ⭐️), genre (memoir is my most read), & author demographics. I think my big takeaway is a need to be harsher with my ratings-I barely even remember some of the 4 ⭐️! This was the last spread of my #bujo, I‘m starting a fresh one today!
October wrap up! 11 books this month, I had a mini slump at the end of the month, but the books I read during the Dewey‘s Readathon helped pull up my number. Favorites of the month were The Underground Railroad and Barracoon, which I finished today! #octoberstats #readingstats #wrapup
September wrap up time! A pretty average month for me, but I feel like I have been off my game lately. I‘ve been dealing with some anxiety issues and that always slows my reading. Especially audio because when I‘m anxious all I want to do is listen to the Gilmore Guys podcast (it‘s been over for a while, but it‘s still my favorite). Favorites this month were Dandelion Wine and Crazy Rich Asians.
#septemberstats #septemberwrapup
#AugustWrapup time! 11 books is not bad at all! Although I must have been feeling very nostalgic this month, I had 3 rereads! I also totally failed at #makemereadit - I bailed on my first read (Breakfast at Tiffany‘s) and haven‘t finished the second (What Happened). I had good intentions, but I just was more drawn to my library ebooks this month!
#august #auguststats
July Stats! Lots of great books this month! My top reads were Moxie, Beloved, and Tuck Everlasting.
#julystats #julywrapup
Time for a #Junewrapup! Only 8 books this month, but I‘ve got to remind myself that before a year and a half ago that would have been a great yearly total for me, so it‘s ok that I watched so much Netflix! I‘ve been tracking my reading in my #bujo for a few years, it helps me to be mindful of reading diversely and remember what I have read! Maybe if my spread comes out pretty I‘ll share my 6 month check in to see how I‘m doing so far! #junestats
Well, I wanted to finish one more before we left for California, but I think these are my #MayStats ! Top pick of the month was definitely Station Eleven!
I hope to have some reading time on my trip to visit the in laws, especially when we go to Lake Tahoe!
A good reading month for me! I‘m currently 5 behind in my reading vs buying so let‘s hope May gets me caught up. Mount TBR is slowly decreasing!
I‘m heading out to hike for a bit. The I‘ll pick out my May reading!
March stats! Kind of a slow reading month for me, but still great! Top picks for me this month were Tiny Beautiful Things and Nimona!

Here are my reading stats so far for 2018. How many have you read? 🤓😁
The number one reason I switched to LT is data. On the home page there's a link to Stats/Memes. On the stats/memes page there's a link to physical properties. I love those stats. I also like the Authors link on the home page which leads to a visual representation of all the authors I've read. #LitsyonLT
February stats! Favorites this month were All American Boys and the March trilogy, both #blameitonLitsy finds!
I‘m headed to a library sale this afternoon, hopefully I‘ll have a nice haul to show y‘all!
Audible sent me an email with my end of the year stats in it. Here they are. I also have 145 books in my wishlist which isn‘t too bad.

Just got an update on my Goodreads challenge. After I'd adjusted the goal, I never got another message congratulating me on finishing. Now I wonder whether I should reset the goal again.
Interesting stats, though. I tend to rate very high.
The cat is enjoying the sunshine. #CatsOfLitsy
My #AugustReads. Was kind of busy but I try to read a book a week. Seems so measly compared to you Litsians who can read more than 20 a month! My favorite was Pachinko, but The Hobbit and the Fellowship of the Ring come in tied for second as they really surprised me on how much I liked them. I now want to find a nice edition of these books 😊📚
#MonthlyStats #August
Confession 😔 This is the most amount of books I've probably ever read in a month. That being said more than half were #middlegrade and 4 of them were #graphicnovels. But I think a pretty good job on the whole. Thank you for your reading inspiration Littens! #julystats
June Stats: not a bad reading month for a busy month when some unexpected work projects came up. Project work meant more listening to audio books which upped my stats. The 15 books include the 2nd half-ish of Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince & the 1st half-ish of The Deadly Hallows counted as one book & one short story; The Grownup. Not so good was keeping up with my reviews on here & especially on Goodreads so that will be a focus for July.📚
The Girl With All The Gifts
Uganda Be Kidding Me

I See You Made An Effort

Brotherly love as Metar checks on his recuperating sister and my own reading progress during the #readathon #24in48
Since everyone else seems to be posting their end of year stats, here's mine. Not a lot of books this year, which was a bummer. Next year will be better!
One of three kitties who helped me through my PhD. This is our Luna. We adopted her in 2012 after losing our Schuster in 2010 and my dear Simon in 2012, just a few weeks before we adopted Luna. She was 10 when we adopted her. Her original people were going to have a baby and were going to take her to the pound. We couldn't let that happen; we knew senior kitties almost never get adopted. She is a sweet funny love and we are lucky to have her!
I'm so close to finishing I LET YOU GO, but I have a dinner party tonight so don't think I'll be finishing the book tonight😡😞😢so here are my September Stats! Another good month of reading, thanks to all the Littens😻
And no, I haven't read Stats with Cats but I'm sure it's awesome 🤗
