Light Sunday morning reading with my pup and my coffee.
Sometimes it's hard to get anything done when you're so deep into a fantastic book.
I needed a distraction from this whole whole Hurricane Irma thing, so I started this cheesy teen vampire series and it's exactly what I needed.
"Perhaps we must carve a world one day where the strength lies in who you are rather than what they expect you to be."
I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately, and the narrator for this one sounds JUST LIKE the guy from the podcast Case File.
I bought this for C when it first came out. Probably about time I cracked it.
If a good editor would cut about 200 pages of adverbs, adjectives and cliches; yeah, that'd be nice.
I didn't think I'd care much about this book but I was so so wrong. I choked up so many times. So very well done.
I don't condone writing in library books but I agree with past reader. I wasn't expecting high writing but this is ...not good.
Started a new book in prep for my puppy tomorrow!
So good, even (especially?) in audio. You wouldn't think so and you'd be wrong.
This was fine. I'm glad I listened to it bc I like Greer very much but she writes like my blog posts which is kind of annoying long term. Solid quick enjoyment.
I had some languishing Audible credits...
Between-escapism books...
Sparks writes such terrible books but the movies are a guilty pleasure of mine.
I read one of those "what was the most popular book the year you were born" listicles and this was mine so I decided to download the audiobook for this rainy day.
Flight delay
H is so much more open to my reading recommendations than his brother is. I love it so much.
How long do I keep listening to this to see if I like it at all? Not hooking me yet.
I had a spare hour today so I stopped in at a favorite used bookstore. I don't pretend to be a literary snob - I needed some new authors so I made some random decisions.
Focused is perhaps the wrong word in this context...
I should be sleeping but instead this came in from the library and I can't not start my reread...
I'm loving this book but I've been having trouble finding time to read since getting back from vacation (ain't it the way?). Taking a lunchtime for myself before getting back down to brass tacks.
I thought this book would be more compelling but I'm still waiting to be engrossed.
Fun day with mom stop one: library!!!
I loved this - I felt so much for all the characters. So lovely and heart wrenching.
I *finally* finished The Stranger Beside Me, so I'm starting this before bed. I randomly picked it at the library, so we'll see!
