#currentlyreading. I‘m enjoying this well written memoir by a woman with an unusual family.

Drinking coffee and reading this gem…out next week, about the rise of reality tv. I‘m not a huge reality tv fan but this is entertaining and very readable. #netgalley
8-year Litsyversary…woohoo! One of my only remaining social media accounts.
I feel like this book will be worth it once I get into it but right now it is SLOW going. I had to turn off the percentage count at the bottom of my kindle because it was going up so slowly. #netgalley
There was some pretty annoying miscommunication in this contemporary romance but it doesn‘t even matter because I loved Logan and Alexis so much. These characters are so good together. The banter is funny and there is a ton of chemistry right from the start. Definitely a pick. Digital ARC through #netgalley.
It‘s been a while since I‘ve posted on Litsy but I have been reading a TON lately and want to start sharing again. This is by the author of “The Scent Keeper” and it is so good. Loosely connected stories about how one book affects people‘s lives in various ways. I read a #netgalley ARC but it is out today.
I took a half day off work…to do this, basically. I‘m finding this book terrifying. That your body can suddenly turn on you is such a scary thing.
On vacation and trying to make a dent in my #botm tbr. I am loving both of these books!
All of my Libby app holds are gone! I had 9 books on hold and now they are not there. Has that ever happened to anyone? I‘m taking this harder than I should😂
I‘m thinking about deleting my #netgalley account. I am so far behind and I feel like it is adding stress and obligation to my reading life. Anyone else quit the NetGalley game? And did you regret it?
4.5 stars. This centers around a logging community in the seventies as they desperately try to hold on to their way of life while grappling with environmental destruction, chemical poisoning and small town mindset. The characters in this book are complicated and the plot constantly contains an eerie sense of foreboding. As with any book, there are flaws but overall this was a satisfying reading experience.
So excited to start this journey! #tolstoytogether. I did read War and Peace a couple of years ago but still looking forward to a more careful reread.

Into the Wild is a buddy (re)read with my son who chose it as his independent reading book for English class. It was one of the choices for “coming of age” books 😳
Just finished the latest “Sarah‘s Scribbles” book (out in November). As fun, short and comforting as the rest! These are easy graphic novels to read digitally, too. #netgalley
I missed out on this last year but they are doing another “Tolstoy together” in which a community of readers reads and discusses about 15 pgs of War and Peace a day. This year there is the companion book about the experience last time. I‘ve been meaning to reread this book so I will definitely be participating. It starts on September 15. More info is here: https://apublicspace.org/news/detail/tolstoy-together-2021. #tolstoytogether
I really liked this but I just have so many questions. This would be a good book group discussion.
I REALLY should go to bed but this guy is so comfortable. So, I guess I‘ll keep reading.
I started this book over the weekend. It‘s so weird! Has anyone actually finished it? It seems a little daunting.
I know I‘ve hyped this magazine before but this issue is special to me, because I wrote a piece for it! I‘ve not written much for publication so it was exciting to receive this today. I recommend this magazine for all readers…it‘s delightful.
So in the past week, I had one kid start high school, one kid start middle school, one kid attend school without a sibling for the first time, and I started a new job. So…many…changes and emotions. This Monday night, I am dipping into a fun read.
Does anyone else have to pull up Goodreads to remember what they are currently reading? It‘s been a long week🤦🏼♀️
I‘ve been looking forward to this book since I received it. Finally time to sit down and dive in!
I‘be been re-reading many of my books about books and reading for an essay I am working on. This short, lovely book is up next.
I‘m re-reading this beloved favorite and it is such a beautiful book. A wonderful tribute to his mother and the books they shared.
My #botm picks! I have been eying both of these books. I‘m also now a BFF..so irrationally excited about the tote bag.
My April #botm picks. I have one more box until I‘m a BFF and that is also when my subscription expires. I‘m still deciding whether to keep it🤷♀️
Currently reading. One #netgalley arc. A re-read in an annotated version and last month‘s #botm.
My #botm pick. I wasn‘t really feeling this month but I am hopeful that this will be good.
I undertook a project this past year to enter all of my books into a spreadsheet. My unread amount is WAY WAY too high so my new goal is to use a random number generator and then try to read that book no matter what. If I decide to dnf for good, then I‘m donating it. Here is my first random selection. This is in addition to my regular reading📚📖 so it may be a slow process. I am going to attempt to document it here as I go!
Just one again this month. I‘m excited for this one but was hoping for more new add-ons. I only saw two. Are there usually more? #botm
I may have two more books in me this year but I do love receiving these year end wrap ups!
I thought I would like this book more. I found the conversations between characters to be so vague that I never really knew what was going on. I did like the descriptions of Houston and Osaka, two places I have never been. 2.5 out of 5 stars. #botm
This book is deeply unsettling. I‘m not sure this is the best time, politically, to read it but I will definitely be thinking about it for days to come.
