This sounds super fun!
#3Books
#BookReport for this week: finished two audiobooks and seemed keep starting other books instead of finish the ones I had! Both books finished this week were interesting and so so so different!
#WeeklyForecast is a lot of middle grade fantasy! Cattywampus is a debut new release and I am absolutely loving it. Lord Brocktree is part of a read along I stumbled upon. Nevermoor is still not finished because I keep starting new books 🤦🏻♀️
Very fun! Somehow hadn‘t read this series before but really enjoyed the audiobook. This series is always popular in my classroom library!!!
1. 👩🏻🐈🔮☂️ - haha that‘s harder than I thought it‘d be!!
2. Absolutely counts as reading! One of my favorite genres 🤗
#TwoforTuesday @TheSpineView
#tropesinaugust I was having a hard time coming up with a book for this theme! I think the one tagged works from how their relationship starts. This book is soooo good, if you haven‘t read it you definitely should!!!
Book: Tagged 💕
Author: Nic Stone
Movie: Shrek
TV Show: Sabrina (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)
Song: The Sound of Settling by Death Cab for Cutie
#manicmonday
This book is hard for me to give a rating to, but it was extremely readable! I listened to the audiobook, which was written by the author. It was look into life that I have no personal experience with. It is a drug addiction memoir that also gives a look into working at high powered fashion magazines.

With school coming back soon, I am hoping to get a few #middlegrade reads done to use as book talks!
The prompt for today immediately made me think of the #cozymystery genre! Cozy mystery novels do a great job of world building in small towns with engaging sets of characters. My current favorite cozy mystery series is The Magical Bakery. #tropesinaugust
A day behind on this August challenge and several books behind on this really great #middlegrade series. This series is so creative and full of so many twists and turns. I am only about 4 hours into the second book‘s audiobook but it‘s great! #tropesinaugust
A little late but it‘s still the weekend! #weekendreads
1. 📖: Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
🎧: How to Murder Your Life by Cat Marnell
2. I have been suggesting The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune constantly!
3. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune (I‘m obsessed!)
Woo!!! So excited to do my first month of #BookSpinBingo. I feel that there are many options for Bingos that look very doable! The orange boxes are the #BookSpin selections of the month.
You never know when you‘ll have to wait while your outside the home! Bring a book! I don‘t think I ever leave my house without one. The times I have, I always regret it!!!
Saw this on Instagram and it looks so fun! I'll be trying the #mgbooktober challenge! #middlegrade #TeachersofLitsy
I've seen this book around a lot and heard it recommended. It's always been a book I thought I would eventually read. But, when I heard Constance Wu was going to play a part in the film of the book, I decided it had to be read IMMEDIATELY.
Only on page 20 something and already REALLY enjoying it!
@mgiroir thank you so much for all the lovely gifts for #letshyggebookswap! I loved everything you got me and that it was owl themed 😍.
Yours is in the mail, sorry it's running late!
Also going to use that mug today!
This has been such a huge hit in my classroom. I have never had #manga in my #classroomlibrary before this year. This is has not been on the shelf since I introduced it and students are taking it upon themselves to make mini book groups around it. One of my students watched the anime film for it as he waited for me to add to the collection. Love when books spark such interest in my classroom. #TeachersofLitsy

Hi Littens! I feel like I have been MIA as the new school year has been starting.
Currently reading this in hopes for it to be my first novel length #ReadAloud for the year.
#TeachersofLitsy any suggestions for a gripping read aloud to do with 7th graders?
Woo! Excited to start a new Sarah MacLean for #LitsyPartyofOne 😍#romantsy
Thanks @Ambrosnazzy
I was able to get out into the wilderness today! Then started reading the tagged book that I got at a local (amazing) used bookstore! So far it's a lot of fun #BlameitonLitsy
Woo! This is a great idea @WhatDeeReads ! I definitely need to focus on the books I own in my TBR. And this isn't even all of them 😬
I know it's not Halloween yet but I am so ready for fall!!🎃🎃🎃
#BookHaul of picture books today! Wanting to incorporate more into my teaching. #TeacherofLitsy what read alouds do you do with your middle school students?
I love this woman! This audiobook was so amazing. I listened to the entire thing in like 2 days! Gabourey Sidibe has brought me so much joy and light through the reading of her memoir. I highly recommend the audiobook for this one!!!
This audiobook is magical. It's got me laughing to myself in public places.
Unrelated to books but my baby girl of 15 years passed away today. Rest In Peace and Love Pearl. 💛💛💛#PetsofLitsy
Mind blown. Jason Reynolds did an incredible job. Holy smokes, this novel is so needed right now. I'm a little speechless to how incredible Miles Morales and Jason Reynolds are. This book needs to be in the hands of every student. The message about what kids/young adults can do - whether or not they are super heroes- needs to be shared.

These are three of my favorite books that happen to also have been challenged and banned. I love each and everyone of these books and constantly use them in my classroom to spread the love. 💛

"I had not spelled out how a book could be personal and urgent..."
Such a strong lens for teaching reading to students, especially students who've felt disenfranchised in their education. This book has me stopping and highlighting and note-taking.

I want all my students to be exposed to Melody. Sharon Draper did a fantastic job of giving Melody a strong voice that middle schoolers can relate to. Definitely worth a read for everyone!
#TeachersofLitsy #middlegrade
#ShelfieSunday of my #cookbook bookcase. Besides reading, cooking is definitely my biggest hobby. My most recent cookbook is the one tagged!
#backtoreading @Tiffy_Reads
My kind of #manga; all about food, grocery shopping, and relationships 💛
All the 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟s for this book! This book offers such a great lens to look at societal norms around gender norms and stereotypes.
This book is so much more than I thought it was going to be when I started it, thinking it would be a silly story about teens stuck on an island. Instead this book is really had me thinking and did a nice job at poking fun/bringing light to the issue of media influences. Also The audiobook was amazing!
I am currently listening to Beauty Queens by Libba Bray for an audiobook. It usually takes me a long time to finish audiobooks because I save them for car rides but today I'm going to do some #audiocleaning and finish this book! Next up on my audiobook TBR is Gabourey Sidibe's memoir! I seem to gravitate towards celebrity memoirs for my audio listening!
#backtoreading #AudiobooksToGo @Tiffy_Reads
For today's #backtoreading, I have been enjoying #FollowTheClues with Dr. Siri and his colleagues during 1970s Laos. Colin Coterill does a fantastic job of creating an intricate web of characters and giving a sense of what the beginning stages of communism looked like in Laos. Also, there is a spiritual/supernatural component to the books which I love. These are fun mysteries without too much of the gore. Loving the series so far. Rec'd by my mom!
Okay I think I am finally grasping what is going on. So much information is being thrown at me, it's hard to keep it all straight. Luckily tor.com has a handy little guide. This is definitely the longest book I've jumped into this year. Hoping I can finish it this week. This is my first go at an #epicfantasy
I am really excited to read these in August before the new school year starts! Kushiel's Dart is pretty long for me so summer vacation is a great time for me to dive in. Really excited for Jason Reynolds new book that comes out today. The Hate U Give has been sitting on my bookshelf for far too long. Reading with Patrick is right in my wheel house! 👩🏫
#backtoreading #mostanticipated @Tiffy_Reads
I'm reading this to prep for the upcoming school year! Sharon Draper is always a hit with my students. I am so intrigued to read the story of Melody and her life with cerebral palsy. #middlegrade #TeachersofLitsy

That was a really fun fast paced read! This was my first Agatha Christie book and I'm glad there are so many more books by her for me to check out! There was no dull moments in the read and the action started quickly. None of the characters were overly likeable but all had their unique personalities. The reason for all of the characters chosen to attend was really interesting to me.
#ReadHarder2017 Published between 1900-1950
Starting my first Agatha Christie this afternoon! This book will also work towards my #ReadHarderChallenge2017 for a book published between 1900-1950, being published in 1940.
