pickI would not have picked this up if not for #popsugar26 (a book with a shadow daddy) but I was hooked! And that‘s surprising only because I‘m not much of a fantasy or romantasy reader. The romance was a slow build up, which I prefer over instalove. Also, the twist at the very end was awesome and in no way did I see it coming!

pickThis is the last book in this series (and the only other one I‘ve read is book 2) but I will make my way through the others. Viggo, a romance book lover and hopeless romantic, strikes a deal with Tallula, a thriller writer and non-believer in love. He will help her with a romance sub-plot in her 2nd book, and she will help him get his bookstore ready for its grand opening.

pickA soft pick. This was pretty repetitive on several counts, but there was lots of Christmas-y vibes, and the MMC is an NHL player, so yeah. Didn‘t hate that! I also rooted for the FMC, who has a complicated relationship with her mother, and was just trying to follow her passion.

pickI held out as long as I could and went ahead and finished this today while I was doing the last of the holiday errands and wrapping. Loved it! I would really like to see an adaptation! This is loosely based on A Christmas Carol, one of my all-time faves, so I had a feeling I would like it.

pickFun read! A different kind of holiday novel but it really worked. I enjoyed the world that the author built, with each holiday having a royal family. Coal, the prince of Christmas is basically a screw up, and he is pitted against Hex, the Halloween prince, in a fake competition for the hand of the princess of Easter. When Coal finds out the reason for the ruse, he sets out to fix it, and falls for Hex in the process.

A perfect score! Home Alone isn‘t my favorite by far, but I‘ve seen it tons of times, and it is pretty funny. Here is my favorite Kevin quote: “Bless this highly nutritious microwaveable macaroni and cheese dinner and the people who sold it on sale. Amen.” 😂
