The first book I read this year is The Woman in Cabin 10. I had it on my shelf for a long time and finally decided to read it. I was immediately sucked into the story. With every chapter I was more surprised. I really did not see it coming. Especially not this ending. It was really quite a surprise. However, the story is missing a little something to give it a fifth star.

I especially enjoyed the last two stories, but I'm bais because I love Ciri. I adore her feisty sprite and determination.
I am however now more than ready to be done with the short stories and be immersed in a full length novel
pickI absolutely enjoyed this book! I am so glad I decided to read this even after disliking the author's other book 'L.A Weather' that I read in 2024.
I found this story to be enticing right from the opening and in between the different timelines, Escandon kept my interest with both the story and the characterizations of not just Libertad but all of the characters.

pickIt's always a pleasure to return to Kate Burkholder's world, and while the 16th installment had some plot twists that stretched believability a bit, it was still enjoyable. Love the characters in this series. Kate is gritty and tough without being obnoxious (actually, she kind of reminds me of Eve Dallas of the In Death series) and Castillo always writes the Amish as real people. It's also always fun to read books set in Ohio and actually know ⬇
