🌞 Portable, redneck and fans. Antique house and a dog in congestive heart failure. Heatwave killed one of my heart failure dogs last year.

✈ 🚢 Drowning, plane crash or plane crashing into ocean or stuck in sinking ship. Titanic was still missing when I was wee.

Prime Day haul: spent $7.31 for nothing. Wanted a Paperwhite but received the wrong ereader. Cost me $7.31 to send it back. Also returned my dad's broken Tap but that shipping was free. Wish I could get a sale priced Paperwhite somewhere else and also now (not just 2 days a year). Being half-blind, I should get more into audiobooks. 😲 #primeday

Envious of my neighbor's rain barrel, I enjoyed this book. While not desert focused, unfortunately (for me), there are enough succulents, gravel and natives references to keep me entertained. Now, to get off my duff and add that barrel, and what the hell, a new brush bordered patio to the front yard.

Making good on my pledge to read all of the ebooks with the word succulents in the title. There's only 8 at my local library, unfortunately.

Baldwin is a local guru. What's not to love? 👍👍

This short should be called a tiny. Reads like a writing exercise in a workshop. I don't know why but I always like that.

Taking my time with this one. I haven't enjoyed speech collections since the nineties (Bertrand Russell).

Bored. Tried twice. Giving up.

I like David Sedaris. The Office would probably suck if Sedaris played Kelly.

Sleep deprivation requires some light reading. Flows nicely.

Took years to get some distance between the Bookcrossing hype and library ebook availability. The almost always enjoyable Sedaris remains almost always enjoyable to me. Prefer the chalkboard cover art.

Thought I'd give it a go (as I mostly read non-fic in childhood). Ebook formatting is odd. With its mandatory horizontal two page layout, everything is so tiny! Must try on larger device.

I dumped my physical library in 2004-ish. I don't remember what I was thinking at the time. I have some art books now. That's it. Don't miss it. A surprising thought coming from a Henry Bemis type.

Damn you, summer. Damn you to Hell (except it's hot there; you'd probably like it). His name is Aldo. He's my five pound chill dude.

Incomplete memoir of an amateur sleuth. I wish the two people who completed it were listed on the jacket. They earned it. For VR/EAR/ONS read Kat Winters and the detectives, Richard Shelby and Larry Crompton.

🐙Most often? Radio while cooking via Echo. Followed by music, audiobooks and, dead last, podcasts (they all sound like goats, affected goats).

Mo bitterness. Less awkward charm. Or, vice versa. We, David and I, are out of sync with this book. Ex. My fave Sedaris work is his diary-ish, Theft by Finding. Understanding Understanding Owls was the most memorable essay. I love the cover. No regrets. Ever onward!

🐚 Children's Pool, unfortunately, was my fave beach. Completely destroyed by a cowardly city, tourism and the squirrels of the sea (seals-oh, aren't they just so adorable!?! No, no, they're not. We need a hungry White Shark over there, pronto. Bad lungs here. Breathing their stank sucks).
