“He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.” OMG! Have a book-blogging friend who kept track of this when she encountered such an occurrence in books. It always makes me think of her. She isn‘t in Litsy; cannot find her anyway. Fond thoughts of book friends this morning! Esther assisting. #DogsofLitsy #whpg

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘d love to see her research on that! 5y
BkClubCare @Riveted_Reader_Melissa - I believe she was appalled and curious about what it signifies, why it is often used in literature? 5y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BkClubCare Yes! That sounds like it should have been developed into a great paper! I‘m sure it‘s in literature meant to be a shortcut to “he cares”, but in reality “he feels entitled to touch her” or “fix her”. 🤷‍♀️ 5y
BkClubCare @Riveted_Reader_Melissa - Ah, YEP. That is is my take on it. “Dude, my hair is fine. No need to touch me right at this moment” 5y
