These are my favorite books I read in 2018. It was a good reading year and I found so many wonderful new books thanks to Litsy. I could also include the Bill Hodges trilogy-loved it. See any books you loved? #18in2018 #18in18
I have to admit I almost bailed on this (mostly because I left it for a while and wasn't sure if I wanted to get back into it) but really glad I stuck with it. Beautifully written and thought provoking, it's horrifying that it's based on real events. Even beyond the atrocities visited on these women, some of the day to day realities of life for women in such authoritarian patriarchal communities is heartbreaking.
Here are my favorite 18 books I read in 2018. A few of these ended up on my all time favorites list! #18in18 #18in2018

Here goes, as I don‘t think I‘ll finish another one tomorrow....
In no particular order, as that‘s just impossible.... It was difficult enough picking these....
And hovering around just outside the top 18 were:
Speak
Conversations with Friends
There There
Circe
The Tattooist of Auschwitz
The Other Wes Moore
The Day the World Came to Town

Overall a great reading year. A few of these books were ARCs and won‘t be released until 2019 so I‘ll be curious to see if they make anyone‘s lists next year 😉🤩🥳 I cant pick a favorite but Song of Achilles & PoisonwoodBible are definitely my front runners 🥰

Here are my top #18in18 #18in2018 w/ the tagged book my absolute favorite. This year I discovered new-to-me authors and became a big Ruth Ware fan. I have a new genre love - Steampunk Mysteries. I rekindled my love of creature/monster books, especially sharks, and remembered why I had loved Dean Koontz so much. Grady and Riley had two of my most favorite books this year. I'll be continuing with the cozies and anything by Mira/Seann. A good year!
My top books of the year. #18in2018 #18in18 It's interesting how they are favorites for different reasons. Dark Matter was probably the most enjoyable of all.
My #18in18 list. I read some really good books this year, especially the second half of the year. The tagged was probably my favorite. Hopefully next year I'll start out with some really good books. #18in2018
