Ice Hunt | James Rollins

I really enjoy Rollins's mix of science and imagination. He bases his works on science and extrapolates from there. In this stand alone, he has some unsuspecting Alaskans swept up into a hunt for an ice station that is newly found. Problem is, the Russians want it too. So it is covert warfare at the top of the world.

Melissa_J The James Rollins books are great fun @TrishB @Cinfhen 6y
RamsFan1963 Ice Station is one of my all time favorites, one amazing cliffhanger after another, I ended up reading it all in one sitting cause I couldn't find a place to stop. 6y
Andrew65 @RamsFan1963 That is typical Matthew Reilly, non-stop high octane action. 6y
Bklover Hey Andrew!! Which o e of these would be the best choice for a “creature feature” choice???? 5y
Andrew65 @Bklover From memory I‘d go for Ice Hunt for the Creature element, I think Ice station would also cover it. Both great books. Enjoy. 😊👍 5y
Bklover Thanks Andrew!!😊😊 5y

Pickpick

James Rollins never fails to deliver. This book was excellent as expected. The only problem I sometimes have with Rollins is the excessive and in detail narrations at times. Even with the slightly unnecessary narration, this book is still great! :)

James Rollins never disappoints! I love his blend of science with speculation!

MaleficentBookDragon I call it science gone wrong and I ❤️ it so much. I wish he'd write more of these stand alone novels. 8y
Kat_Reads @MaleficentTheBookDragon exactly! It's fantasy, but with enough science behind it that you could see it happening. Subterranean was my favorite of his! Did you notice the reference to it in the sixth extinction? 8y
MaleficentBookDragon @Kat_Reads Yes, it made me want to go back and reread it. I loved Ice Hunt in part because we meet Kowalski and part because I imagine killer narwhals chasing people! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SX9IRXIF5Ak 8y
