1. I have a white car. I‘m resigned to the fact that it‘s always dirty.
2. Not from a book, but definitely a fictional character. Mitchell from Being Human (UK version!) was a hot mess. #two4tuesday

Me: I need more bookshelves
My mom: you need to get rid of some of your books
My hubby: let me move two desks and a storage cabinet and build you more billy ikea shelves on my one day off work.
He‘s a keeper. Nothing sexier than a man that enables my book buying habit and can carry 25 book of the month books at one time to help you organize the shelves.

Voting is now open to pick the June selection for the #LitsySciFiBookClub #LSFBC. Voting will be open through Tuesday. I checked with my library, and three of these books are available online: All Systems Red, The Fated Sky and Goliath. The other two are not overly pricey on Amazon at 9.99 and 4.99.

For those of you who were curious, here is a grid of the 16 books that I‘m part of the way through right now. 3 of them are over 1,000 pages, so there‘s no way I can bang these out in a few weeks, but maybe if I focus on them, I could get through them by the end of the year. If this was your currently reading list, how would you tackle it? Shorter ones first to get them out of the way? Which of these have you read and really loved? #MountTBR
How is it possible that the number is so high? For what it‘s worth, I‘m not actively reading all of these. It‘s just that I‘m stuck somewhere in the middle of them and am determined that they won‘t be a DNF or a bail. I mean, I was enjoying them. I just haven‘t picked them up in a while. I think I‘ll try to get that number down to 10 by the end of June. We‘ll see how that goes. #ReaderProblems #LongLiveTheTBR #TheStruggleIsReal
My clear case and my zippered Kindle bag came in the mail yesterday. This is my new set up. It makes me smile every time I look at it, and I love that the stickers are able to be repositioned. Happy weekend everyone! 📚 💕

Tea review - Desert Spring. This is a green tea with rooibos. Has Jasmine and other floral tones with fruity undertones. Very subtle flavors. I added a bunch of sugar to make it sweet and balance out the grassiness of the green tea. I got it as a free sample, I don‘t think I will buy it but it is nice change of pass and refreshing served as an iced tea in a hot day.
Thanks @Eggs for creating this play~tag~share card, and for the tag.
1 I don't believe a book has fallen apart on me...my mom has some very old books that fall apart just touching them. When on one of her reading binges, she will sometimes select the encyclopedias or edu books and I watch how careful she has to be with them.
2 Believe it had been around my late teens when, The Old Kingdom books came into my life. Still love Garth Nix. 👇
The sticker pack I ordered came in the mail today, so even though my clear plastic case for my Kindle hasn‘t arrived yet, I‘ve decided on the placement of the stickers once it arrives. I‘m going to just arrange them on my Kindle without sticking them in place, using the clear case on top to hold them down. That way, they‘re repositional, so I can change my mind any time. I‘m super excited! It‘s gonna make me smile every time I pick it up. 😊📚💕
It was yesterday, but I just hit 7 years on Litsy! I love this platform—it‘s so welcoming and so fun!! Here‘s to many more! 🥂🎂🎉
Omg, everyone! THEY‘RE BACK! 🙀

I don't like that it doesn't show the green bar :( but I've read about 55 books :) #gottacatchemall
tbh idk how this works in terms of Pokemon, I'm just adding books to the prompts on this list xD
I‘m making progress. I did decide to go back and add all the books I could from what I‘ve read in 2024 so far. I‘m a little surprised that there are so many squares where I haven‘t read any books that meet that requirement.

I'm so glad you started this tag, Deb! ☺️
1. A book recommendation with some very helpful information in it, because let‘s face it: if there‘s an herbal route I can go instead of starting on a high risk medication, I‘d much rather go herbal.
2. Putting together another batch of earrings to sell, as I‘ve sold through most of my stock.
3. Learning to read with a Kipper deck.
4. My partner sent me this photo of one of the irises in our yard.
5. My son completed his geometry class.⬇️
1. Florence + the Machine — Ceremonials

Unless I really step up my game, I‘m not gonna come even close to finishing this in 2024, but it makes me laugh, so it‘s a win, right? To add to that, it‘s been 2 weeks, and I‘m actually still working on it, which is longer than I work on some challenges. Fun times! 📚📚📚
#BingoBoardFromHell2024
I‘m debating whether or not to add the books I read in the first 3 months of the year, since it‘s a year long challenge. That would boost my numbers.
My son got married last Saturday! 💞

Here‘s a pic of my roll for the #DiceyDalliance challenge. I think that, next time, I may choose from only library books instead, but it‘ll still be nice to get another book off of #MountTBR.
I was working yesterday, so I‘m playing catch-up.
1. I really enjoy packing a selection of meats and cheeses and hoagie rolls so everyone can build their own sandwich. I haven‘t done that in years. Maybe I‘ll have to change that.
2. You Are Here: Poetry in the Natural World, edited by Ada Limón

1. Yes. When I was in my early 20s, I stopped into a HS library I‘d never been to before. My university was offering one of its Spanish classes at the HS, and it was a required class for me and also the only one that wasn‘t already full. When I walked in, the librarian greeted me by name, and she was so excited to see me. It ended up that she was the librarian at the library I went to when I was a little girl, and she remembered me years later. ⬇️
Spanish food for #foodandlit. Chocolate tres leches cake was a hit. Chicken paella, the kids loved the chicken more than the rice. @Texreader @Catsandbooks
Happy May!! What are some of your favorite AAPI writers or stories? #aapi
Hello, does anyone know how to download humble bundle ebooks onto an android tablet? I‘m sorry I just got this tablet and I am really lost. Thanks for any help you guys are awesome 😉🤩🤓
What I‘ve come to learn about myself is that, no matter how good my intentions are, I rarely stick with a reading challenge that someone else sets for me. So, I‘ve created my own seven-layered challenge. It can be done over and over again. I can try to get all seven checked off in a day or in a week. Whatever feels right. It allows for mood reading and will also help me pick up different types of books in different formats. ⬇️
1. 👩❤️👨👫- Family and friends‘ love
🩺 - Health (means more as I age!)
📚 - my books!
2. 👶 - that one of my children will eventually produce a grandchild
💰 - that my school district will receive funding so that all of the librarians whose jobs were cut (myself included) can get our jobs back
👩🏫 - that I will survive returning to the classroom with all the grading & planning I escaped when I left
#WondrousWednesday
This is from last Thursday, but too fun not to do it! I got 111 out of 187–better than 68% of quiz takers! Some of the favorites on the list that I would love to rewatch are Amadeus, Dangerous Liaisons, and Blood Simple. #TLT #ThreeListThursday
Ran across this online and fell in love...I love these theater masks 🎭😍💝. Just thought I'd share. It seems carved into the page edges of a book...
