AnnCrystal @TieDyeDude we are indeed... whenever I'm reading about J.R.R. Tolkien, I usually have to reread, and cross reference his notes 😂🤗, he was such a complex character ✊🏼🦅✊🏼💫💫💫. 2mo

Bookwomble In 1938, Tolkien was asked by a prospective German publisher to prove he was "of Aryan descent". His reply included, "if I am to understand that you are enquiring whether I am of Jewish origin, I can only reply that I regret that I appear to have no ancestors of that gifted people." He effectively told them to get lost, and a German translation didn't appear until the '50s. 1mo
