The last book of the series. Through it all I have loved the lyrical writing and it's take on Fairy Land.

A beautiful ending to the Fairyland novels. I'll have to reread them at some point

#LovePrevails Day 6: #FairytaleLove abounds in this strange series. My review of the entire series here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-ejP
My son and I have started the final book of the series. 💕
I think once we are done we might read the first one over again. 😁

While we in the real world would probably say “#bloweNorthenWinds”, September is wishing for the Green Wind to blow by on his leopard, so he can take her to Fairyland. Sounds confusing? It really isn‘t! This series is such a wonderful take on children‘s books, with a lot to enjoy for adults too. I love them, and I think I might need a reread in 2019!

One of my favorite Orange books. 👌
I forgot the hippos. 💙💙💙 How could I forget hippos?!
Oh, oh, I'm so sad that it's over but it was the perfect ending. Everything came together so well with all of Valente's heart and magical flair. I will miss September and hey friends but I know I'll read these again and again. Read these books and read them to your children, any children you know, they're just wonderful.
Fairytales and hot chocolate because its Sunday and it's snowing (again!)
Well, this is it. The final Fairyland book. I don't want to read it but I can't resist! 😭😭😭
This book has the most perfect ending.
I have loved traveling through Fairyland with September and her friends. I will definitely be taking up Catherynne Valente's offer to come back to visit.
I finally took down the Christmas decorations today, so I am consoling myself with cherry pie for breakfast while I read about my best girl September.
"All librarians are members of the Catalogue. That's what you call a coven, when it's made up of librarians instead of witches."
...brb, going to start my own Catalogue. Who wants in?
I finished Cat Valente's "Fairyland" series today & am feeling a little bereft. There's no fictional family I feel more affection for than the one that's made up by September, Saturday, Ell, & co. (except maybe Blue, Gansey, Adam, & Ronan). I love these characters. I love this world. Thank goodness I still have the prequel "The Girl Who Ruled Fairyland for a Little While" in my back pocket! Cat got the ending (& the whole darn series) just right!
I got a coupon bookmark with my order 😍😍 2/2 the tagged book is behind my coupon bookmark #bookmail #bookmailisthebestmail #bingowinnings #bookoutlet #bookhaul #bookoutletsale
"For that is all a story is, my dears: a knife that cuts the world into pieces small enough to eat."
An utterly beautiful and satisfying conclusion to this series. One of my favorite parts of this series is its narrator, it has a quirky almost Winnie the Pooh charm with so much humor it's delightful ☺️
Had to pick up a gift and treated myself too. Filled some holes in my collection.
It took me a little while to get into the story again, because it has been so long since I read the fourth book. But once I was in it, I didn't want to leave. This wasn't the strongest Fairyland novel, for me, but it was still a great story and so much fun. I think, I might need to do a reread of all five books at some point! 📚

#Readathon status: I have just had dinner, and I am ready to continue with my first book. I am about 2/3 through, and I love being back in Fairyland ❤
Anybody else with plans of participating in the Dewey's 24 hour #readathon next weekend? This is my tentative #tbrstack, but I have just ordered some books, which I hope will be here before Saturday, so I can add them to my pile 📚👍
A fantastic ending to a series. The great thing about Catherynne Valente is you can never even guess where the story will take you.
This is my year in books. Although the entry for shortest book is just wrong on goodreads. If I remember right, that volume actually had about 200 pages. I read a lot more Manga and graphic novels this year than I have before.
Just finished the last book in Catherynne M. Valente's Fairyland Series. Loved seeing September grow to be the young lady that she is now. Definitely worth the wait. Read all five books in this series.
I don't know that I've ever read a more accurate description of time.
In this quote the brass ball is the character of Greenwich Mean Time.
I've been excited for this book since I got it in March!!! Now, to savor this final book in my favorite series! ❤️❤️❤️
My first post! Here's what I am currently reading. (Tbh, slogging through. But it's picking up finally.)
Forty's not the worst thing to happen to anyone.
She never meant anything she said before ten in the morning.
It's the writing that makes a thing proper and solid and true in the first place.
When your parents choose your name, they make a little wish for your future and fold it up inside your heart forever. When you choose your own, you make your own wish.
You may not like me, but I have survived far more towering acts of mythic stupidity than you.
