Oceans Eleven meets Oliver Twist, but fantasy.
Wow, absolutely devoured this book. I could not put it down and loved every moment of it. Completely fantastic.

Science Fiction often examines the human condition and how we would react in different situations. This beautiful examination of how we would act if 99.99% of humanity disappeared tells many stories, not just one. In a way that seems to reflect Watership Downs' exploration of different societies, the plot twists and turns to guide you through the solar system and back home.
Absolutely fantastic end of the series. The world she built is intricate and well thought out. Highly recommend.
Just finished and absolutely loved this book. Thought it was going to be predictable, definitely wasn't.
Also, I'm including it in my research when NASA asks me what my qualifications are to be the first Red on Mars.
Being a Preacher's Kid means being a part of a strange group. Yet my favourite librarian has now recommended two AMAZING books with PKs in them.
Just finished Female of the Species, absolutely brilliant.
Books about books are always my favourite and this one doesnt disappoint. Fantastic plot twists that keep you guessing until the last page.
Le Sommeil Des Géants arrived yesterday! 21 days until I can add the hardcover of Waking Gods to the collection!
It is easily the best book of 2017. @Neuvel's Sleeping Giants is fantastic Waking Gods is even better.
Thursday is Harry Potter Book Day! I get to run the event at my store. Yes, my Slytherin is showing.
What can I even say about this book without spoilers? It hurt me to put this book down and go to work while I was reading it. Nonstop, heart pounding plot twists that you could never predict.
Absolutely amazing book that built on the story and characters we love from the first one. Now I'm going to spend a year freaking out until the 3rd comes out.
@Neuvel thank you thank you thank you for writing this book, and getting me an ARC.
This was one of my favourite books of 2016. It comes out in paperback tomorrow, but it came early for me!
Definitely worth the read.
This felt like Grown-Up Narnia.
A group finds a door to another mysterious and somewhat magical land, with a tyrant witch ruling it.
Many plot twists and did keep me on my toes.
But, but I love maps in fantasy books...
So far I'm loving this one. It reminds me of my first trip to Narnia.
I was sent this book because I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman and knew nothing about Norse Mythology. That is definitely the target audience. The stories are told simply for those of us who know little about the Norse Gods, but are very intriguing and keep you captivated.
I read this in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. All fantasy fans should read it to learn the inspiration behind so many stories.
A fantastic ending to a series. The great thing about Catherynne Valente is you can never even guess where the story will take you.
6 stars out of 5. Thank you Jeff Zentner, I needed this book. I didn't know that for the last 4 years I have been waiting for it.
Carrie was a strong person. She was honest, and relatable. Her writing is hilarious and down-to-earth. It was great getting to know her better through this memoir.
This series is perfect for the bibiophiliac. Literary references, magical worlds connected to a library.
A fantastic read.
And since there's no place to go, Let it Snow, Let is Snow, Let it Snow.
I think this book was written specially for me. Alternative Victorian England and a mission to recover Grimm Fairytales, in a magical world with DRAGONS. Yes please. Absolutely adored it.
Throws you right into the action. Quick, fast-paced, and never a dull moment.
Behind on my yearly reading goal, so let's see how many 9-12 books I can read in a day.
Would highly recommend. Read it straight through in a day because I couldn't step away.
Just finished Normal by @warrenellis. It's a fast-paced, quick but original story that has you questioning everything.
Highly recommend.
It was like the book couldn't decide what direction to go in. I didn't care about any of the characters, so putting it down and forgetting about it often happened.
I'm starting the 3rd tonight, hopefully it redeems itself.
As someone who lives on social media this book was fantastic. It delves into the world you know so well but is able to pull out pieces you never thought about.
A must read for anyone who works in communications.
Got to catch up with @Neuvel last night. Always awesome to see him, he's the coolest guy ever.
I can't wait for Waking Gods!
Had an amazing time meeting Victoria/VE Schwab on Wednesday night. Not only is she talented but she is the nicest person ever!
It was slow starting but really picked up the pace half way through. Really an exercise in "who do you trust".
You will literally laugh out loud and then bawl your eyes out. A perfect ending for a trilogy, poetic justice rightly served.
Better than the first, and thats saying something! More in depth and well executed. Also, you get to meet Victra, the best badass ever.
Fantastic. Well written, well thought out and well played out!
4 Londons, Magic, and a badass woman. What's not to love?
A great Sci-Fi mystery. Although easily spoiled if you read too many reviews, so just trust me and pick it up.
Fantastic, well written, and quite a page turner. I read it in one afternoon because I refused to put it down.
Waiting impatiently for the sequel Waking Gods. Amazing work by @Neuvel
This book was amazing. Informative, interesting, and written as if you're having a conversation with the author.
