#12Booksof2024 July was a tough choice it was between this book and The One by John Marrs. As far as I know this is the last of the series, but I hope it isn‘t the end. As I said in my January post this is the series I have recommended the most this year. I love the concept of healthy masculinity in the form of gleaning wisdom from reading romance. This also happened to be my #DoubleSpin for Christmas in July 😁

Very Hallmark-movie-esque, but make it a little raunchy. It was pretty much what I expected it to be, cute, cheesy, and some spiciness.

It was very ‘meh‘ for me. I don‘t need quite so many issues going on in my rom coms: her law stuff, his possible failing career, crazy Yellowstone-esque brother that doesn‘t want her to have a stake in the billion dollar whiskey company, her running when things get tough, his billions of dollars and private jet, blah blah blah. I enjoyed the first in the series, but this one might be my last 🫠

My holiday #libraryhaul for today! Went to pick up the tagged book I had on hold and ended up coming home with lots of holiday/wintery reads off my TBR.

I am planning to spend December reading happy, fun romances and cozies along with a few others that feel right for the season off my own shelves. I need some comfort and joy right now.

Which one should I start with?

Finished my #DoubleSpin. I love this series so much and I hope this isn‘t the end. I would love to see a book inviting the cheese man into the book club next. IYKYK 🥰🧀📚

#BookSpin picks for July. I started The Bromance Book Club series at the beginning of this year and have been making myself wait till this month to start the last (for now) of the series. I was so happy to see it was chosen for my #DoubleSpin pick this month. 🎄📚

Another good one in this series. I really like Colton but Vlad (The Russian) is still my favorite.

Best holiday romance of 2023 for me!

This started out a little shaky for me, but in the end I enjoyed it. The last one, about the hockey player, is my favorite of the series.

Meanwhile, I DNF‘d a Christmas book from my personal shelves, and I‘m making good progress reading Letters from Father Christmas.

This #holidayromance is (perhaps?) the last in a series. It‘s not really working for me so far, but it‘s a nice palette cleanser to read a chapter or two between mysteries. 😎

Started my holiday reading with this one. It was cute. I liked Colton more than I liked Gretchen, but it‘s understandable why she had a lot of baggage. The complicated relationship with her family certainly kept this book from being fluffy or too lighthearted.

I admit these books are a bit formulaic, but the formula keeps working for me, so...! As usual, Colton and Gretchen had some compelling chemistry and backstories, but the chapters from the book they were "reading" got kind of dropped without resolution, making them feel a bit pointless. The grand gesture at the end made up for everything, though! #contemporaryromance

I love this series! I read this one slightly out of season (😆) but found it just as delightful. Colton, the famous country singer, is trying to convince immigration attorney Gretchen to give him another chance.

Gretchen asks Colton for a professional favor. Colton uses that as an opportunity for them to spend more time together; apart from their first night together a year ago. Will Gretchen let her guard down for Colton?

This one was way better than the one before. It‘s now my second favorite out of the series. They had great chemistry, but I wish there was a little more spice. The plot wasn‘t too cliche, but the writing was a little.

I love these books.

I know it's not Christmas but I really like this series and I was excited that it was my turn on Libby.

This time it was Colton's turn to find love. I highly enjoyed his journey in finding the one.
I felt bad for Gretchen; she had a terrible family, which explained her behavior. I do admit that she annoyed me at first but I came to love her for Colton. I give this 4 ⭐️.

I read this out of order. I‘ve only read the first of the series. This will ensure I go back and read the others as well. I love the characters and the complications of their relationships as well as the friendships involved. Like the first one I definitely laughed out out a couple times. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A festive #audiobook as I finally pack up the holiday decor.

This a cute and fun book. It's an entertaining Christmas rom-com. The best part - all the gang gets together again.

The perfect Christmas romance. Packed full of humor and great characters.

I believe this is my favorite one so far. I‘m not surprised since I love Colton so much. His story definitely put me into the Christmas spirit. I hope we get Roman‘s book soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I only regret reading these so fast that I have to wait for upcoming titles. I wanted a little more epilogue vengeance like seeing Gretchen's brother fall on his own whiskey decanter or something even more spiteful. Read cover to cover minus a pause to watch The Grinch with the family and a wrapped reading bedtime story.

I think Colton pulled ahead as my fave of the series! I wasn‘t expecting much with this one but it blew me out of the water! A perfect, sexy Christmas read. Can‘t wait for the next one! ❤️

Hitting a bit of a wall with reading this December! I‘m loving this so far but have been SO busy getting ready for Christmas that have barely had time to read and haven‘t felt a lot of motivation 😩. Thank goodness my kiddo is in an orchestra rehearsal for the next 90 minutes so I can use that time to read for #WinterReadathon!

After 9 days I finally get to read a seasonally appropriate book. #AmReading

Wonderful! Funny and sweet and full of the familiar cast of characters. I love that Adams‘ heroes and heroines have real stories, with ups and downs that they work to overcome together. Great holiday setting and Nashville is always a great town to read about. I couldn‘t put this one down and read it in a day! I cute holiday romance in the bromance series. This grumpy sunshine romance can be read as a standalone. I found the heroine a tad frustrating and could see the third act conflict coming, but it was a fun easy read. 3.5⭐️

As with all the other books in this series - I loved it but don‘t know if it‘s actually good 😂 It is a compelling read - once I got into it, I couldn‘t put it down. I did like her exploration of difficult families and how those influence relationships. This is a series I will always be excited to read, but I really don‘t know why 😂👏🏻👏🏻

There has not been a book in this series that has done me wrong. Colton is more likable than I thought he would be. I thought there would be more depth with both main characters and details about their pasts. But I got enough. I also hoped I would find out something bad happened to the brother but🤷🏼‍♀️ between Christmas and the cuteness, one of the favorites of the series.

Another great entry to this series the pays homage to romance subgenres, this time a Christmas romance between country music star Colton Wheeler and pro bono immigration lawyer Gretchen Winthrop.

I was going to try to save this for December (it was just released Tuesday), but I couldn‘t wait. And then I stayed up a bit too late last night to finish this, but I had to see Colton get his HEA. ❤️
