Wrapped this up at the end of the year and am finally reviewing it. Good thing I didn‘t make timely Litsy posts a resolution! This was just fun, although the title is misleading. The “switch” is phones, not bodies, although for high-achieving Lily and secretive Teddy, losing their phone may be scarier. Frustrated first impressions turn into friendship as Lila and Teddy explore Holly NY the setting of the BEST MOVIE EVER! 3⭐️for teen love.

This was a cute holiday book. I put it on my TBR at the end of the holiday season last year and forgot that it was YA in the time in between. In this one, the stakes aren‘t really high, though they feel high to the man characters. It was an easy read, and I like the idea of living in the setting of a Hallmark movie. The female MC has a secret book blog, and her reviews are a nice addition to the book.

This was my #DoubleSpin for December.

A solid YA holiday romance novel. My favorite part was that she had a blog dedicated to books! The book is set in a town that is all about Christmas that even had a Christmas movie filmed there. Another book added to my #Winterreadathon challenge!

Somehow I read two YA Christmas stories in a row, which may not have been the best choice haha some YA makes me feel old, and this was one of those. There was a lot of "follow your heart!" kind of stuff going on (look, I genuinely do not think college is the right path for everyone, but I also don't think that deciding to be a writer instead of a doctor because you're "good at blogging" is great life advice lol). I enjoyed a look at Lila's ⬇️

2 Bails and a Pick. Which is making my Goal of cleaning off my nightstand #HolidayReads stack go quicker.

The thing that makes The Holiday Switch a Pick is main character's love of Books. And we included Book Reviews from her Tinsels and Tropes Blog. Yes the plot is a big simplistic but it's a quick, sweet, holiday read.

4/5 ⭐️ I started out not really like the main character, but as her edges softened I really enjoyed this book. I liked all the references to the MCs Filipino culture, especially anytime they made food! Definitely a cheesy Hallmark-esque story but more juvenile, still I'm here for it! ❤️✨

"It's not you, it's me " This book will appeal to people who like wholesome, happily-ever-after books with silly Christmas puns. I read it for a book club and it is just not my jam. It will definitely pass by overprotective parents.

Cute, fun, as cheesy as expected. Totally want to live in this holiday centric town the book takes place in! Wish I got to see more of the mains‘ relationship unfold because the book doesn‘t take you *too* deep in any direction. Brief, surface relationships throughout which didn‘t grip me but overall a fun, easy story!

I thought the book was just okay. It was a cute story and had a lot of things I liked, such as a focus on family, and books. The main character is a book blogger, and so there was a strong focus on books. However, I found that I could easily put it down and do something else. Nothing was particularly remarkable about it.
