#day1 of my October Art challenge.

The word is Gouleyant (like a light, sweet and flavourful wine).

As I am very underprepared for this, I have taken heavy inspiration from the internet for this one. Mea culpa.

The protagonist of this book is an English lecturer,so it fits!Profound, witty and excellently written,do read this book about some writers getting pigeonholed into niches they don't want. Then watch American Fiction, the movie adaptation that's as good. @alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @eggs

I read this oh so long ago…

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I love how people still kind of think it‘s a true story or at least based on one. Did you ever read the final chapter that “solves” the mystery? I‘m glad it didn‘t make the final cut tbh, I don‘t think it would have achieved that same level of cultural significance with it. 7mo
kspenmoll @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I never did read that final chapter. I agree with you- this book & its mystery is better left to the imagination of the reader! 7mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @kspenmoll, can‘t say I recommend it. The 1975 Peter Weir movie is pretty good too - I think it‘s been adapted more recently but I haven‘t seen it. 7mo

My goal is to try and actually keep up with the daily photo challenge and ornament hunt. I start off strong and fall off, but not this time! 🤞🏼
Day 1: red cover (well, red ON the cover) and ornament that sparkles ✨
