This was a very cute holiday book. It plays out like a Hallmark movie but still a good read.

Lucky my daughter had to go to the post office to pick up a delivery for her coz my first #JolabokaflodSwap parcel was sitting there with the wrong address on it! The AusPost staff recognized my name luckily and gave it to her🙌Thank you to my gifter, I think I know who it is but I‘m not positive yet.

This looks fun!
1. I‘d say it‘s a tie between dinner and brunch. I love the creativity of brunch (and mimosas) but I also love a great dinner!
2. The Holiday Swap (tagged) was a baking foodie‘s dream and I loved the dual POVs of hosting a baking show and running a small town bakery. And a book I recently read, River Woman, River Demon was filled with authentic, delicious Latin dishes. 😋

I ended up enjoying this book more than I thought I would. I feel like I'm running out of holiday read options that aren't just straight up rom-coms so that was why I was a little leery of reading this. But I think the sister swap plot was interesting enough to keep me engaged and not feeling like it was too much of a romance (or double romance). Still pretty Hallmark-y but put me in the Christmas spirit so I'll consider it a win.⁣

I would say that the title is exactly right, it‘s a Holiday swap rather than a Christmas swap. The story takes place in the week leading up to Christmas, but there‘s really not a lot of holiday vibe in the book. Still, it was a fun read and I really enjoyed the twins and their adventures.

Identical twins switch places for Christmas and complications ensue. This was an enjoyable holiday romance!

Finally, finished all the library books I had checked out so it is time to see how many holiday books I can knock out before Christmas 😬😜🎄📚

This is a cute story if you can get past the completely unlikely scenarios and total selfishness of both of these sisters. See it for what it is. A cute feel good holiday story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A delightful serving of double trouble, this simply sweet strangers to lovers, mistaken identity romantic comedy is a great read for the holiday season.

I loved this book. It was exactly what I needed to get me in the Christmas spirit. It was cute and fun and not too heavy. The characters were so entertaining and the story was really interesting. I couldn‘t put it down. I loved that it had romance and still showed two very strong and independent women who find themselves in a sweet tale about baking and family and love. I also would like a recipe book with all the treats they make!

Delightful! The perfect Hallmark movie plot with a fantastic premise and charming characters. Predictable? Maybe, but in the same way as ordering a favorite meals at your favorite restaurant and having it exceed your expectations in every way. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

A Christmas story in May? Why not? This was both predictable and sweet, and double the mayhem, mischief, and magnificence with the talented twins Charlie and Cass Goodwin. It's not often you find a novel with two protagonists that you can root for in equal measure. In this Food Network meets Hallmark movie story we are reminded of the importance of spending time with the people we love.

I didn‘t get to this one before the new year so this was my first read of 2022. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Haven‘t been very active this past week but I got this nice #LitsyLove surprise from @TheAromaofBooks the other day. I had just cancelled my library hold because there was still a 2 week wait on it. Thank you!

I‘m a sucker for any story about twins, and I would best describe this as reminiscent of a Hallmark Christmas movie, but not nearly as cheesy. It‘s perfect escapism for Christmastime. I liked it so much I passed it along to my mom. 4⭐️

The Holiday Swap was interesting enough, but more interesting at the start, as it was unevenly paced in the last 2/3 of the book. The novel would have benefited from some more time with a good editor. A decent light holiday read, but it is not likely to ever be a reread, at least by me. #BOTM

Setting up my TBR for 3 challenges I hope to work through this year: 2022 Audiobook Challenge, Mount TBR 2022, and Popsugar Reading Challenge 2022. I‘m currently reading The Holiday Swap and almost finished listening to Crochet and Cauldrons.

I pulled this from my Dec stack to enjoy as my final holiday read as I pack up my decor for another year. My audio hold came through, as well, so i could work and sit without missing a beat on the story. I can‘t resist an identical twin holiday swap story! It was Hallmarky and since Candence Cameron Bure has the identical twin movie there, I had her in my head the whole time.

Forgot to post this review earlier in the month. 'Twas excellent. Charming and cozy. If you're a fan of The Princess Switch movies, this was made for you. There may not be royalty, but there is so much baking goodness and twin swapping. My favorite parts were in the small town, very Gilmore Girls-esque. Just a sweet romance.

Also, I love these almond horns so much. 🤤

Very cute, very Hallmark movie read. I wasn‘t sure I was going to give this a like, as there was some ridiculous/cringe moments midway through the book. But the wrap up was very satisfying so I gave this 3.5⭐️

I loved this twin swapping romance. A bit unbelievable that no one can tell them apart, but all part of the fun. The love interests were swoon-worthy and the women were confident and strong characters. I enjoyed the baking show element and the small hometown setting. This one might become an annual reread...

This was cute, sickly sweet at the end to the point I kinda wanted to gag lol. There is a level of “c‘mon, that would never happen” you have to ignore but it‘s a romcom and I think we‘re mostly pretty good at doing that. I love books w food in them and I was definitely in this one more for the food than the romance.

This was a light, fluffy, sweet-and somewhat unrealistic-holiday read.

This is just the light-hearted holiday read that I needed! Identical twins Charlie and Cass both are accomplished bakers- Charlie now as a host in the glamorous setting of an L.A. holiday cooking show competition and Cass running the family bakery a few hours north in Starlight Peak (surely a town that must be just a bit north of Sweet Valley!🤣). An accident leads to them swapping lives in the 12 days before Christmas and fun along the way!

Cute and fun and complicated! I really enjoyed how Cass was able to see how not okay Charlie's life in city is, and how strong Cass was. Sometimes we just need to switch things up (or swap things up) to discover new strengths and loves.
