I really love this series! It‘s better than any series I‘ve read in a while. I‘m a huge fan of anything Sherlock Holmes and the twist the author has made to the character is very interesting and unique. SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

As "Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective," Charlotte Holmes has solved murders and found missing individuals. But she has never stolen a priceless artwork—or rather, made away with the secrets hidden behind a much-coveted canvas. But Mrs. Watson is desperate to help her old friend recover those secrets.
I am really enjoying this series. This mystery was as good as the others and as usual the information was slowly revealed, not only to the reader but to the characters as well. There were many hopeful romance storylines but there was some disappointment there but I won‘t say too much on that or it will spoil it. But I‘m hoping where there was disappointment in this book the next one will resolve it. So, I‘ll be reading the next one and soon.
Great on audible. I‘m glad I read a physical copy before listening.

Finished the 4th book in the Lady Holmes series today. This one involves an old friend of Mrs. Watson & Holmes & friends in France with a case that involves art theft. I still think the last one was my favorite of series, in this one the plot was a bit more complicated & uneven. I‘ll still be moving forward on book 5 but likely not for a few week as I‘m waiting on a library hold.
I'm giving up on this series. I've tried to get into these books because everyone loves them, but they don't work for me. This is book 4 and was particularly boring.

• Lady Sherlock Series - No. 4
I think I am getting burned out on this series. Every book that I read I enjoy less than the one before. I will probably not go on to read the remaining books. That‘s not to say that I won‘t pick up book 5 sometime in the future — Just depends on my mood.
Please bear with me while I catch up on 2 month‘s worth of reviews! 😳😬They might not be super detailed since it‘s not all completely fresh in my mind, but anyway, book 4 of the Lady Sherlock series is another pick! She‘s such a badass and this is one of the better ones out of the 6 so far. I love the characters, the time period and the very Sherlockesque vibe throughout the books. The narrator is also great! 4⭐️

On my way to work but am hoping tonight to finish Razorblade Tears while audiostitching with about 2 1/2 hours left. And I have 4 chapters left in the tagged book so maybe I can finish it tonight as well. Tomorrow should be all about Cassandra.
I was so happy this turned out to be my #BookSpin for September…I ❤️ this series and needed to catch up. In this fourth book, there is a collaborative effort to recover something for a client that was being used as blackmail. Having lots of the wonderful characters work together here was one of my favorite takeaways. More is learned about Moriarty, and I‘m anxious to see a showdown with Charlotte. Also loved seeing more of Lord Ingram. 👍👍4.5/5⭐️
Finished this a few days ago; this was my in-between kindle book, so it took me a couple months to finish. Not my favorite of the series, but I liked the main premise for the mystery and the whole, let‘s get the gang together for a heist, vibe. The actual plot ended up being a bit too convoluted for my taste, though. Solid entry to the series. 3.5 ⭐️
If anyone's into the Lady Sherlock mystery series, the 4th installment is currently on a US Kindle sale for $1.99.
Finished binging the Lady Sherlock series. How shall I survive until November? Flavia de Luce!

Still need to read #4 in this excellent female Sherlock Holmes series. #5 is waiting in the wings, too.
This one might have been my favorite of the series so far! I really liked this one. I‘m really glad I gave this series a second chance because I almost didn‘t read the second book and then where would I be?!
This series just keeps getting better! Getting to know more about Charlotte and company as they scope out an art sale and ball at a chateau in France, The Art of Theft will have you in suspense as well as craving pastries!
I guess I‘m serious about catching up this series! I immediately started the fourth book. I‘m glad my library had it ready to borrow.
"But fundamentally, this is about the imbalance of power between the sexes....
Certainly it's admirable for any given woman to learn to appreciate her own worth.... But it cannot be enough for those who are treated as lesser to feel better about themselves. That they are treated as lesser is an injustice. And that injustice itself must be rooted out and eradicated."
A prodigious year of reading! After years of meh reading progress, this year I made the goal to read 52 books. I enjoyed each book on the way! The 4th Lady Sherlock book- Art of Theft is my last finish of the year. I look forward to another great year of love, friendship, health, and great books. Thanks all for the fun book discussions Litsy. Thank you @Kimberlone for being my reading partner in all times. #NewYears #readinggoals #52books
Another fun adventure for Lady Sherlock-this time in France with a daring art theft in the works! The worst turn? Charlotte is in France and on a diet. The horror! I love this series so much! The sharp Sherlockian mind in this rounder, flouncier body delights me!
#CurrentlyListening - Love Mrs. Watson‘s backstory! And of course, Charlotte continues to be a delight.
I'm enjoying this series so much! I'm a sucker for a Sherlock retelling & these are so much fun.
Speaking of Sherlock retellings, who has seen Enola Holmes on Netflix? I loved it! (And this outfit looks an awful lot like hers!)
⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Up next - the next Lady Sherlock! ☺ #currentread #currentlyreading
Fall must be in the air because I was craving apple crisp tonight. Rereading the last Lady Sherlock book to prepare for the new one. #audiobaking The new one comes out just in time for #scarathlon!

Another great installment in the series. Looking forward to the release of the next one later this year.

I love how Thomas keeps faithful to the genre - but with subtle additions of diverse love interests, comments on patriarchy and colonialism. The lush period backdrop and the quirkiness of the characters made this Ocean 11 style Victorian art heist enjoyable. Not my favourite of the series - Sherlock does less mind bending detections, spending more time driving along the plot - but minor quibble in a book that's a page turning joy.
Book 70
Not quite as good as the others. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just didn't quite hold my intrest as much. I did enjoy watching the various relationships growing, and I'm definitely disappointed to learn that the next book doesn't come out until October of this year.
It‘s been a week or so since we‘ve seen the sun and any blue sky so cleared the decks of all chores today and am settled here. Everything else can wait!
Some Sundays just call for you to curl up and read. I love this series - it‘s a recent #blameitonlitsy discovery and I‘ve raced through them. I think I‘m going to curl up here for quite a while today x
I enjoyed this 4th book in the Lady Sherlock series. I always enjoy spending time in Victorian England with Charlotte and her friends. This time Thomas focused more on Livia, the sister, but I still liked the book. Thomas continues to grow the characters. Can't wait until September for book 5, Murder On Cold Street.
It is always enjoyable to spend some time with Charlotte Holmes but this title in the series did not seem as strong as the others. No clear cut opponent, a puzzling theft and a bit of misdirection could not bolster a plot that was a bit flat. A lot of work for the big reveals and tease at the end. I am hopeful the next one will be better.
My least favorite of the series but still enjoyable.
1. Conspiratorial
2. Ordered from Book Outlet yesterday. To be fair, 3/4 of it wasn't for me.

Of course, all of my audiobook holds decided to come in all at once. Looks like my house is going to be REALLY clean. Lol! #audiocleaning #audioeverything
Good little mystery where Sherlock Holmes is actually a woman.
I love this series, but this book seemed like a filler book, setting up for the next. This could have been condensed to a novella. Hopefully for the next one!
Ready for the next book! Love the Lady Sherlock series. This one had several subplots going and Thomas juggled them all well.
I so love reading the Lady Sherlock series. Sherry captures some of Sherlock Holmes most engaging and interesting character traits in her Lady. This story has Lady Sherlock and company assisting an Indian Maharini with some old secrets and the plot twists never stop, but no worries! Lady Sherlock's deductive skills are more than up to the task. There's still a wonderful tension between Lord Ingram and Lady Sherlock. Next book, please!
I love the idea of a #WeeklyForecast! I hope it helps me organise my reading life a little more.
Audiobooks this week:
A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway and The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown.
Print/Ebooks
I am almost done with For Better, For Worse by Caryl Rivers and The Art of Theft by Sherry Thomas.
Today I picked up Ongoingness, The Last Templar, Midnight Chicken and The Moveable Toystore.
I am home sick missing a family Christmas treat: riding a steam train, seeing Thomas the tank engine and Father Christmas. So I am moping on the couch feeling sore for myself with a book.
This is such a well written series! Wonderful character development, fantastic balancing of complex story lines, and a mystery that I couldn‘t figure out right away. Love it! Charlotte Holmes agrees to help Mrs. Watson help a former lover who is being black mailed. Espionage ensues, blackmail, art, and betrayal abound. 4.5/5 stars
1. I was in the middle of other books when this came out, so I quickly looked through it to find out the progress of a certain relationship and who the new character was. On Insta, Thomas had teased that a character from her romance novels would be part of the main plot.
2. I have a bit of an obsession w/ alternative versions of Sherlock Holmes, but this series is by far my favorite.

I guess I need to post pics of my sometimes reading companion, Griffin, for #nationalcatday. I adopted him about 1 1/2 years ago, & he definitely has his own personality, including strange sleeping positions. @Clwojick #scarathlon @chaoticgoodhufflepuff —Our cats are gorgeous 😁 #catsoflitsy
In had to do a bit of virtual shouting at Amazon, but my preorder of the new Sherry Thomas has arrived, only a day late and definitely much sooner than the era they gave me last week of November. I rebelled yesterday when it was showing on the site as buy now and it‘ll arrive tomorrow...
I‘ve wanting to re-read HP & the Goblet of Fire this month (but needed to read library books first) & decided to start it on Sunday even though I knew I wouldn‘t get it done before the tagged book came out. Didn‘t get much done last night due to a headache.
This is the other book besides Wayward Son that I‘ve been most excited about. Still going to finish HP first, but I‘m excited it‘s here! I pre-ordered it last February.
#scarathlon @Clwojick
This story started out at a good pace & picked up speed to end in a race against the clock. I appreciated that there was a greater emphasis on Mrs. Watson, her past, & her heart. She shocked me ever so much & I liked that she had a second chance to amend a piece of her past. Surprisingly, Charlotte wasn‘t her customary self & both she & Ingram spent time with self-reflection. Their relationship had indeed changed due to previous actions taken.
